The park in general is very clean ,well spaced, extremely comfortable and a favorite spot for our group 30 African-American (campers. Our camping group loves to visit ceraland. The grounds staff needs alittle training on how to treat the campers. we had an encounter with Judy (the manager) who had a chip on her shoulder from the time she walked onto our site . She tried to chastised me like I was a kid because the way i parked the rv , mind you the security guy watched me do it . She said that I potentially had damage the water line by crossing over it while parking . I told her that my day at work was extremely difficult and stressful and all I wanted to do was to get set up so I could have a beer and let the beauty of the camp site take the day away . Judy proceeded to say she was at the bar with her drink and this situation was impeding on her night . After that situation, the play renta cop continued to hassle the others in the group by telling them as they were riding their golf carts after the concert ,that he could take the carts , rvs and license for being out after 10pm. One of the camper’s is a retired IPD and challenged him but we noticed others riding around well past that curfew time ( one of the other people came over on his cart like 12 or so told us that he had been riding all week and had not been stopped not once) . So why was our group hassled and harassed ? I could say because our rvs were big and beautiful but in my mind it’s because of our skin color . So this is a warning to my brothers and sisters of the darker persuasion beware and be careful. We will probably will come back because the grounds is soooo nice .i just hope and pray that the staff will have so training for Inclusion of any and everybody that Chooses to spend money and time at this beautiful grounds. Sincerely, serious camping group Indiana...
Read moreWe camped August 2-4, 2019. We were in site 15 which is a lake view site. Upon arriving we were informed that there was a huge event (Tough Mudder) going on so a few of the activities would be closed. This was a disappointment to us. We were not charged the $2 or $4 entry fee that others have mentioned. The park is very large with lots of activities. Our site was very unlevel so it took us some time getting it level. We noticed a lot of others around us with the same issue. Lots of shade which is great for the hot summer months. While we enjoyed watching a little of the Tough Mudder event, there was some down sides to it. Many of the roads around the campground were closed while is was going on. And on Saturday morning, when we typically sleep in a bit, the music started at 8am. And we could hear it from our campsite. I am sure those further back in the campground could not however. Bonus for them. I visited the restroom while out on a walk and the bathrooms could use a bit of updating. It was hot in there. No air circulating at all. We also visited The Landing on Saturday for a drink and to listen to the band. Drinks were great and well priced. However, the deck is very small with only a handful of very nice tables and chairs with umbrellas. I would suggest you bring lawn chairs. The music was WAY TO LOUD for that small of an event. You could sit in the park and still hear the music. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return. I will just be sure to check the...
Read moreAs far as the park it is a nice campground. The staff is the reason for the 1 Star. There were tornado watches over the weekend so we went and paid to play in the gymnasium while the storm passed. My 5 and 7 yr old daughter wanted to practice volleyball. A lot of bigger kids were on the volleyball side so we used the badminton nets, our girls aren't big enough to hardly get it over the volleyball net. The dark headed girl from front desk came in acting very rude telling us we couldn't use a volleyball on the nets as we might tear a hole in them. Both of our daughters were very upset saying they didn't know why the people there were so mean. Security at night shut lights off to playgrounds at 9:50. They drive to the playgrounds and if there are any kids they shut the lights off. While they are on playground and then shine their bright flashlights in the kids faces telling them to go to campsite. We also watched security on a golf cartbfly up to kids that were walking around 10:15 pm and start screaming at them, "this is your only warning go to your campsite!" All in all i would not stay here again. We got 2 bracelets for camping that enabled you to play putt putt and get in poop. You cannot buy weekend passes so we had to buy our kids bracelets every day. The driving range was closed the entire time we were there. They really need to address the unfriendly...
