This hotel is very basic but the important things are that 1. It’s in a very safe area, tucked away from neighborhoods and site from the freeway. So no homeless, car break ins, anxiety walking to your car at night 2. It was very clean. The bathroom was sparse but very clean. You do get body wash, shampoo, conditioner, mini bar of soap and a little lotion. There is a hair dryer. The room is tiny but very adequate for a stop mid road trip.|3. Bed was comfy! 3 feather pillows. Clean linens. Clean towels. Dust, mold, pest, odor free|4. The breakfast was a typical gas station breakfast. Cereal, milk, muffins, bagels, apple/banana, coffee/tea. Hey! It’s something! And pretty nice for a little hotel that is actually affordable |5. Staff was nice. Didn’t appear irritable, tired, short or disinterested in my wellness.|6. Check in was quick! I did do the pre reg check in via the link they sent with my confirmation. I had less anxiety about check in knowing I let them know via online reg that I’d be there around 10pm. Not worried about being locked out, no manned desk ect |7. Grounds outside were quaint. Lots of grass and trees. Cute little gazebo for what reason? I don’t know, but it was a cute touch.|8. Close to gas stations, restaurants, the freeway, grocery ect. |9. Fitness center- I got up and went to planet fitness about 7 minutes away. I could’ve just worked out here! Treadmills, a good elliptical, free weights, equipment. Wasn’t janky! I’ll def use it on my next stay instead of driving to PF|10. I didn’t see a pool and don’t know if they have one? They do have elevators, a lobby workspace with Tv and free Wi-Fi. These are also available in your room for free||Overall I would def stay here again. Not great for a long stay with children, but good for business travelers, solo stays, road trip stops! ||I’d rather pay less to stay at a clean, quaint hotel like this with a gas station style free breakfast…Than more for a big name hotel with hair in the shower, mold, and bugs....
Read moreHands down the BEST customer service in Columbus GA. I arrived to Columbus Ga around 2a.m from Orlando FL. I was tired and exhausted. I had to be up for a funeral 10a.m thre next morning. I stopped by 4 hotels all over Columbus and was met with attitude, and or a sleeping staff before arriving at the Microtel at 4a.m. I called first and was surprised at the amount of energy I was met with. Shocked, I asked him if there was any rooms available. Not only did he go over pricing with me, but he went over prices on line with me as well! Told me if I booked it, he'd have everything ready once I arrived. I did just that. Around 4:30a.m I arrived, he greeted me BY NAME as if we'd been friends for years. As promised he had everything ready, walked us up to our room and everything. Every morning, the staff was super nice at breakfast. The place was spotless!! It smelled of fresh baby powder the moment you stepped off the elevator. I wanted to personally speak to the GM and let him know how great everyone was, and what do ya know.... HE WAS JUST AS GREAT! CHILL, COOL DOWN TO EARTH GUY. He took the time out to listen to me, he could relate to my husband on several different things and he adored his staff.
We will stay nowhere else!! This visit was a sad one, but the staff didn't know that and their bight, energetic attitudes helped us out so much. Thank you!!! Thank you!! And thank you again!!!
I thank God all the other hotels turned us away. Don't hesitate,...
Read moreMy recent stay at Microtel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the front desk staff, who were not only professional but also incredibly accommodating throughout my visit.
The General Manager, Herman went above and beyond with his duties as a Manager during our stay and I would stay again, just because of his level of professionalism and how he made us feel special and welcomed as guests.
The cleanliness of the hotel exceeded our expectations; the rooms are cute, modern and clean.
The amenities provided were top-notch, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The complimentary breakfast was perfect for what we needed and offered a variety of options, more than most complimentary breakfasts. My daughter loved making her pancakes and eating their breakfast sandwiches.
The location of the hotel is convenient, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. Despite its central location, the rooms were quiet and provided a peaceful environment for relaxation.
And, they are pet friendly!! They have a cute little board with photos of fur-babies that have stayed here in the lobby. So cute!
Overall, I would highly recommend Microtel to anyone looking for a fantastic hotel experience. Whether for business or leisure, you can expect excellent service, cleanliness, and amenities that make for a truly memorable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next trip...
