We were excited to have a room near where we were going to go hunting but with disappointment after disappointment from the room, I can say we will never be staying here again. When we got into our room there was a stain on the comforter, which we just figured we'd pull it off and just use the sheets but then we see stains on the sheets and pillows...yuk. As if that wasn't bad enough there was hair from other people on the bed! Also, when we went to strip the bed there was pee stains on the mattress cover...honestly with the newer looking matching furniture in the room it can't be hard to get some new bedding. When I went to throw away a water bottle the trash can in the room, it already had someone else's trash in it.. which they will charge you an insane fee for "excessive trash" if you leave too much in the room, which is odd given that they didnt even take out the trash from the last people. The sink was filthy as if you didn't clean the one in your home for a month. We didn't want to even touch the shower so despite really needing one we opted to wait till we got back home. The young girl at the front desk was nice but didn't understand when asked if there was a pet fee..she said no but then changed it to if there is a pet you have to pay. I asked how much and she told me $25, which we agreed to and then she said it will be $50 for two nights. Given the disgusting environment of the room a pet fee at all is ridiculous. The carpet was disgusting when I changed my socks it literally felt like i stepped in a waxy old melton crayon leaving a residue on the bottom of my feet, I was horrified. I was woken up by people and could hear their entire conversations through the walls and front door...not sure if they were just yelling at 11:30pm or if the walls really were that thin. Anyway overall, unhappy with our experience, will not be back, we do not recommend staying here if you want peace of mind in bed or...
Read moreMy mom and I stopped at the Junction Inn as we were passing through town and we really liked it. The room was nice and big and clean which is the most important thing. We liked it enough that we stopped again on our way back home a week later. We liked our first room better...looks like they are working on renovating and the first room we had looked a little nicer but both rooms were clean and comfortable. The motel is very convenient right next to a restaurant and gas station. No place in Perry delivers which would be a nice option but not the motel's fault. The girl that checked us in was very nice and friendly but needs to learn a few things. She seemed a bit insecure with her answers....I asked if they have a toilet seat raiser and her answer was ummmmm I don't think so.....same answer when I asked if there was any pizza delivery in the area....she just needs to learn a little more so she can be confident when answering questions. The guy that was working on our next trip was very helpful! We needed a chair with arms for my mom because it is easier for her to get up and he was down there within 5 minutes with a chair for her.|The only complaint I have is the tv....there is really nothing to do in Perry so it would be nice to have something to watch but there were only about 5 or 6 working channels....the first night I did find a movie to watch but the other night we ended up sitting by my ipad to try to watch netflix because the tv was so bad.|Overall I really like this motel and will stay here again. The people are friendly and it's a nice friendly little place. Considering there is no breakfast I would lower the price a little but it is reasonable.|I will stay here on my next trip...
Read moreIn December 13 cousins, nieces, aunt, uncle and I went to The Junction for lunch. My tribe members are meat and dairy lovers and had a large array of menu items to choose from. They enjoyed the food and would most likely give this restaurant a four or five-star rating based on menu selection, portion size and service. They praised the restaurant for its super sized portions of meat. As for me, the sole non-meat, non-bread and non-dairy eater in the family, this restaurant is a bust. It has one item on the menu that suits me. You guessed it - a green salad. Ho Hum. Let’s face it, how excited can you really get about a large bowl full of lettuce tossed with a few strawberries and some pecans? I can’t give the restaurant a higher rating than two stars based on my own personal experience as a vegan. Our waitress tipped the scales to the second star. She was top notch and handled our large party of 13 without a hitch. The Junction does not deviate from what’s on the menu. No custom ordering here. The restaurant is deep in rural territory, so don’t expect urban attitudes toward diversity among the local diners. They tend to stare. The wait staff is pleasant and accommodating, and the service is quick. Of the family diners, I was the only one who walked away dissatisfied after eating a meal here. Moral of the story? Avoid The Junction if you have a restricted diet. Give it a try if you like meat and have a...
