Love this place! I'm sitting here writing this from site 104 which is the furthest up in the woods & most difficult to get to. All sites 100 through 107 are extremely difficult to maneuver in to. We have a GMC dually & a 19-ft travel trailer & have done this a couple dozen times & it was difficult for us but we managed it. I think these sites are the best in the park, in my opinion. The only issue with this cluster of sites is they're up quite a steep hill & it's a strange angle to both turn into the area & to also try to back into your campsite. It really takes some extra experience to maneuver up here & there's nowhere to turn around. The road up is paved but the driveways/pads are gravel. All these sites are cut into a hill with a gravel pad with trees and grass around them. They all have picnic tables, stationary grills, and fire rings although some fire rings are outside the gravel pad (on grass) & some are on the gravel pad. Here's my lowdown of the sites: 99-104 have fire rings outside the pad on the grass and each site is up up the steep hill and overlooks the ones below(see map). 99-101 seem pretty easy to get into but still up a steep hill, 102 would be a medium level experience for backing into it, 103 should not even be a site as it shares a driveway with 102 & is so small I honestly don't think you could fit anything other than a tent or popup, 104 is difficult but the last one up the hill so you look down over the other sites but it's still private enough, 105-107 are primative (no elec, no water), all fire rings on the pad, they are on the other side of the street & the angle of the steep hill is tough and the way you back in, it causes you to face the wrong way, into the woods instead of out toward the lake.
You can see the lake from most of these sites through the trees. It is very shaded and keeps it quite a bit cooler than down along the beach in full sun. There is a close bathroom but it was closed. The swimming/beach area is also not that far, but everything is down the hill, so you have to walk back up. The whole place is very clean. 5/5 would...
Read moreIm telling you this is the place to be when you want to go camping or RVing or just swimming and fishing...I just came off of camping for 12 days and I was in a tent....on these sites most of them have water and electricity as well as a firepit and a grill and picnic table ...they're animal friendly ...they have very clean bathrooms and showers as well as laundry facilities and your ready for this ...a fish cleaning station so your leaving your smelly fish gutts with the campsite instead of bringing it home with you ...and the pricing is so affordable 24.00 per night for a tent with the electricity and water included on the site and the RV"s sites aren't much more than that....and the people that own it are incredibly good people...i felt safe at all times ...why you ask ...bc Jeff or the other employees would be riding around in their little golf carts checking on everyone ...thats why ...way into the night 🌙 which was awesome...thank...
Read moreI take my family camping here throughout the summer. We’ve always had a good time rain or shine. Something that stood out to me was a fellow named Nash. We had left on accident a whole bag of expensive linens for our mattresses and pillows as well as a blanket that has been in our family for years. We were frantically checking our storage unit where we store our camping gear, retracing our steps, thinking that we were never going to see this stuff again. We thought we had gotten everything from the campsite and even looked. Out of nowhere later that evening, Nash called us and said that he had found a bag that he thinks belong to us. Needless to say, he could’ve took them home for himself, or simply threw them away like most people would do, but not this guy. Integrity and thought for another family and their belongings. If I had a campground, I would want a guy like...
