The room and beds were very comfortable. The room smelled nice and had a nice, big, working television and cold air. We were put in a first-floor room because, upon check-in, the front desk employee said we would have to walk up several flights of stairs if we wanted a high room. She did not explain if the elevator was broken or if the property did not have an elevator. There was a "Caution" cone in front of the ice bin, but the machine did work. The area was quiet and we felt very safe there. Plenty of fast food and a few restaurants to eat nearby. Compared to other hotels in the area, the morning breakfast food was awful. There were very few eggs in the chafing dish to begin with. There were approximately six tablespoons of eggs. It was about 10:00 am on Sunday after the 4th of July. The food in the two chafing dishes looked unappetizing. I chose a small teaspoon of the eggs to taste and two small sausages. The eggs were dry, hard, and flavorless. The sausage was brown on one side and not cooked on the other (microwaved maybe?). They were lukewarm and cold inside. The breakfast room is small. Because of its size and narrowness, the "food line" could use a better setup so guests aren't up and down and moving in front of each other. Four separate adults and 3 kids came in after us. Two women and a small child came to the breakfast room and took the rest of the eggs. No one came to refill them after the five other people came to eat. Of the seven guests who came for breakfast, only one small child had eggs available. The bagels and breads tasted fresh. The cups for water and juice are too small and we had to keep getting up to refill the tiny cups. The cold items in the small fridge were not placed near the accompanying food items that needed the butter, cream cheese, yogurt, and peanut butter. The window in the small room faces an unmowed area with a septic or water tank. Not pleasant when eating. A small fence and some traveling vines or plants would be...
Read moreEverything seemed good when we got there. Our room was fine for the price point. The air was turned completely off in July so it was very warm. The problem started when my daughter was getting ready to lay down and I noticed that there were clearly bodily fluids on the decorative blanket over the comforter and the comforter itself and the sheets had clearly been slept in. I called down to the desk and asked for clean bedding and explained the situation. I was expecting an apology and someone to bring up new bedding. Instead, she told me we have to move to another room if we want different bedding because they have no extra bedding. I questioned that answer since it was so ridiculous to me. After a long pause she tells me she will be right up to look at our bedding. After showing her the issues with it that were very obvious and I guess proving to her I wasn’t lying (which why would anyone lie about that), she says she will go to the only vacant room in the hotel and get the bedding from there. Five minutes later she comes back in and asks me to go look at the bedding in the vacant room for myself. After looking at the bedding for myself, I realized the reason she asked me to do that is because it was clearly dirty also and one of the comforters was ripped. We ended up using no fitted sheet, 1 regular sheet that looked the best and got a blanket we had in the car to sleep with. She asked if we even wanted to stay there anymore. My response was no, but we rode here with friends who are probably asleep in their room so we don’t have a lot of choice. Bottom line is if your expectation is to get clean bedding, this is NOT your hotel. I was grossed out all night over it and we left as soon as we could in the morning. The manager evidently has our contact info but we haven’t heard anything. So if your expectation is to have good customer service if something isn’t correct, this is also NOT your place. Obviously won’t...
Read moreI stayed one night here last night, I drove 2.5 hours from Chattanooga. I have never been treated more poorly at a hotel than I did at this stay. We arrived at 2:15pm to check in. We requested an early check in of 2pm if possible. We gave our name to the man at the front desk, and without even attempting to pull up our reservation to see our early check in request, he said he would have to charge us $25 to check in 45 minutes early, but we could go get something to eat while we waited if we wanted. As a former hotel front desk agent, I would have atleast pulled up the reservation to see the requests and checked to see if a room was available. We were trying to get dressed for a wedding at 4, but we just sat out in the parking lot for 45 minutes and waited. At 3, we went back inside to find a new agent. Hoping for a somewhat better experience, this woman did not even greet us. She stared at us blankly and my boyfriend says, “we have a reservation.” She replies with a thick coating of attitude, “Well then I’m gonna need a name. Because I don’t know you sir.” What?? Is that how you treat your guests? We were taken aback by her response. I informed her that I didn’t appreciate her and her associate’s unkindness, and that I “didn’t know her” either. In the hospitality industry, you are supposed to go above and beyond for your guests. I’ve never had anyone act so rudely to us like they didn’t even want us there. Also, our white comforter was covered in yellow stains/splotches and I brought it down to the same woman who proceeds to tell me they don’t have any more comforters, only blankets. Didn’t even apologize for it being filthy. Great! We paid $150 to stay in this piece of dirt to just leave angry, upset, and wishing we never would have even stepped foot in this place. Thank you Quality Inn for...
