We bought in, but never got spots to reserve we requested. Full time campers that live in the resort get first choice at this campground. We Sold our deed/membership shortly after 1.5 yrs and have no regrets! This resort still needs many upgrades; multiple spots are still very short and unused. You “cannot” build fires in a mobile fire pit unless it’s gas; we had a pellet fire pit and “Nosey Nancy’s“ will report you to security if you build a fire outside the designated fire pit areas. Also, we were packing up to leave one weekend, and a full timer got very verbal pushing us to leave sooner than noon because he was relocating to our spot. Found this to be very rude and disrespectful as we learned this was not unusual actions for The Diesel Alley in the area 300’s on the upper hill. Special advice to newcomers, be mindful that respect of your fellow members is not the case in...
Read moreHubby and I went up for a weekend getaway. They have cabins and campers you can rent for cheap. This is a kid friendly camp ground. They main cabin has pool tables, pick up your putt putt clubs, places to do puzzles and can buy a few forgotten items for your camper and can drinks. On Saturdays they have a ice cream social where you can buy a $1.00 a scoop. 2 swimming pools 1 heated and one not. Also a volleyball court. The bathhouses were CLEAN AND ROOMY. No sign of wasps or spiders. They were close to everywhere you stay. There's a fishing pond too. They also have security that rides around at nite which is a plus. It is close to Helen, GA. About 10 mins depends on traffic of course. They have a few good eating places if you go to Clayton Ga. Try Glendas restaurant is GREAT. If you get a chance to stay here do it...
Read moreI first came to Unicoi Springs Resort as a kid in the 80’s and we just bought a membership this year. We love camping here and our kids love it. Camping has become so popular everywhere and we like that we can camp up to 14 days here every month, year round, and the spots are nice with full hook up, cable, internet, and many of them on the pond. Unicoi has 2 swimming pools (1 of them heated), club room with pool tables, putt putt, basketball court, tennis court, community fire pits w/ free firewood, laundry mat, propane filling station, and pet park. There are SO many events going on throughout the year at the campground (especially the summer) with movie nights, ice cream socials, etc. and the campground is just a couple miles from Downtown Helen, tubing, and great hiking trails. We’re so glad...
