This was our second stay here for an annual birthday trip. Upon arrival numerous doors and handles in the condo were broken including a door shower that fell on one of us from not being on the track. Thankfully there were no injuries. The main reason for the three stars is because our neighbors were partying 2/3 nights we were there. The first night it was from 1:30-3am and I called downstairs twice to Aiden, who reported maintenance was gone (untrue because maintenance had told us the previous day when fixing the shower door he lives there and thereās always someone available) and there was no key to get into that condo nor could he make contact through phone nor knocking. His disinterest in resolving the obnoxious noise that woke us and kept us awake was clearly opposite to what their 11pm curfew and no noise tolerance policy stated. I finally called non emergent 911 and shortly after 3am we noticed it got quieter. The second time it happened Tyler came up after midnight and the noise immediately got quieter. During the day I had mentioned it to a front staff member who seemed concerned and stated she would handle it along with sharing the incident with the property manager. This clearly wasnāt the case since it happened again. We are exhausted and disappointed with the staff lack of concern (except for Tyler) and not adhering to the noise curfew. We will likely not stay here next year since more than half the trip left us exhausted and frustrated with the banging on the walls, blaring music and beer pong balls dropping on the floor and screaming from our neighbors late at night.
Editing this review to reflect 2 stars since service is horrible and I cannot get the manager to call me back. After our previous stay (mentioned above), the manager offered to send us a voucher for a free night stay our next trip, and placed the neighbors on the "do not rent to" list. This was communicated via telephone the first week in August. Here we are in the middle of September, and I have called twice now with no return call or to be sent to voicemail since the voucher that was supposedly sent a month ago never arrived. I'm done begging for things to be made right and for customer service/management to return my calls. We have decided to no longer do business with Sandpiper, which is unfortunate because their condos are rather nice and conveniently located. We will take our business elsewhere next summer where we will be treated like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed at Sandpiper resort #1206 October 4-7, 2022. Would not recommend this resort. We had multiple issues with the hot water sensors going off and having to wait for maintenance staff to come reset, this happened repeatedly ā this unit holds up to 8 people but the sensor and hot water run out on the first shower! Additionally during the āoff seasonā they do not put out any beach loungers or chairs but allow you to pull out from under the walkway stairwell; however, nobody checks these and most are broken or cracked and then break while in use and then the recline set is lost and you are jerked to the base, potentially injuring yourself. Why the staff tries hard to accommodate, these are issues that go up to the Sandpiper Board and Manager, John. I spoke briefly to John, during one of my calls, he promised to call back to speak with us about the issues and never responded again. This was quite the disappointment. If not for these safety and infuriating water issues, this would have been a beautiful visit ā the ocean view from the 12th floor balcony is amazing, the balcony has plenty of seating and is roomy and the beach is a very short walk. The staff, including the front desk, housekeeping and maintenance were very professional and accommodating. Management and the Board obviously do not understand that making sure guests are safe and happy guarantees...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were notified 4 days prior to our reservation that our room was under construction and that the Sandpiper management were moving us to another similar room. We were looking forward to our annual beach trip and staying in the unit we have stayed in the previous 3 years at the Sandpiper. We were not given the opportunity to postpone our stay or cancel the trip altogether since it was within the 15 day required cancellation notice policy. We were put in a unit on the 12th floor - although similar in layout - that's where the similarities end. The bed was as hard as the tile floor it sat on, and we woke up every morning in pain. The plumbing was a nightmare. We couldn't get the shower to produce hot or warm water for over 5 minutes and when we finally did it would get so hot it would scald you. The shower handle wouldn't allow adjustments or turn the water off without man handling it. So every time my wife wanted to use it I had to stand there and make adjustments. Being on the 12th floor with only two elevators turned out to be problematic, since for two days only one elevator was functional. This situation led to 5-10 plus minutes waiting for and elevator. This trip was a real disappointment compared to our previous experiences at the Sandpiper. We will not be staying there again if we aren't guaranteed the room we selected or aren't given an opportunity to...
