My sister and I spent one night there for a family funeral in the area. This place had nice rooms, very clean, updated and new. Everything worked fine. They have a large area in the front lobby with tables available to guests for their continental breakfast. We used it after the viewing for some of the family that was staying there for pizza from the quick trip that has to go pizza, The staff/owners had no problem with that as long as we cleaned up after ourselves. ||||My sister and I took a nice pre-dawn walk on the Curtis nature path just beyond the gazebo that wound through the nearby golf course and around ponds. We startled some deer and some large birds. Bring a flashlight if you go out when it's dark. One of the ponds has large turtles and you don't want to fall in there.    Read moreCurtis is my hometown, but we haven't visited in 25 years. We now live in Oregon and it's quite a trip back to the Midwest. Last time we stayed in town there was only one motel and we weren't thrilled. It was just a bit crowded for us and it lacked any amenities. This trip, we reserved rooms at the Valley View and what a difference. The rooms have 2 queen beds and views of the golf course and surrounding hills. Lightning bugs light up the golf area at night (we don't have such things in Oregon). The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was very useful to us since we were travelling with two grand children. We slept like babies - no road noise (or noise of any kind for that matter). We're planning another trip soon and we've already made reservations to...
Read moreHaving stayed here many times, the staff is very friendly, rooms are very clean. Most if not all rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. Two suites are available, also. Most reasonably priced, and senior discounts available. Sweet gazebo just outside the South doors, and a freshly stocked trout pond within a short walk. To the east is one of Nebraska's 9 hole golf courses, some of the best scenery around. Pheasant and turkey hunting seasons as well as deer and elk are a short drive away! The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture is located in Curtis, also. These all make this motel...
