Black Hills National Forest Supervisor’s Office — Hotel in Custer

They were nice, helpful and knew the rules for me to purchase national parks pass, and motorized forest service trail passes and maps. I would have bought more passes than necessary without their help. They even asked if I was sure I wanted the motorized trail pass, as I had last years pass in my hands, as I hadn't even attached it to my 4-wheeler last year due to some trailer issues that are now completed. Wow, federal employees helping me to save money! Now there's the difference between local workers and our elected officials representing the people! These are the real thing at the front line...

The people at the US Forest service were by far the most friendly I've encountered in a long time they gave me information that I needed about spending time on the forest and gave me routes to see the sights in the coolest way possible

It seems kind of crazy that they're not open on weekends, since that's when a lot of people would be coming out to use the forest. In any case, it would be nice if they'd get their hours listed on Google Maps; I just wasted my time...
