American Inn Motel — Hotel in Danville

My husband came in a wheelchair and since he's an ambulatory wheelchair user he was able to stand up and get up the stairs to go into the main office. We pushed his wheelchair inside and inquired about pricing. They later as we were leaving tried to accuse us of stealing their wheelchair yet wouldn't pull up the camera footage nor get the police involved.

They were so insistent we were stealing their wheelchair yet it was obviously ours. Infact it had his name on the back???

The crazy desk lady wouldn't listen.

They also tried to charge for a Service dog which is highly illegal. They legally cannot. It's not about "policy" It's Federal law a buisness cannot charge extra since legally the service animal is considered medical equipment.

I have reported them for that.

So I would definitely say if you're disabled and looking for fair treatment go anywhere else. If you're a full time wheelchair user you won't even be able to get...

I stayed here for week last summer and I was robbed of almost 1k by another patron. Thankfully they had cameras so she was caught and taken to jail however my money was never returned and upon searching my room, I was astounded at the sheer number of little drug baggies all under stuff, virtually everywhere that I could have potentially been held accountable for all because no one knows how to clean a room. The male owner, older fella was absolutely RUDE to me when I demanded some of my money back as I wanted to go somewhere else due to being robbed and such.
