This is such a wonderful family friendly spot! I've never spent time in Dayville but I'm so glad we found the Fishhouse Inn and RV for our Spring Break seeing the John Day Fossil Beds in our camper! Our two girls played nonstop with David and Lindee's two little girls on the awesome play area they created at the back corner of the property when we weren't out exploring. The grounds are perfectly maintained and the shower/bathrooms are sparkling clean. You can also do laundry (for a small fee). We had a great breakfast at the Dayville Cafe just a short walk away and got ice cream at the shop right next door. John Day and the Clyde Holliday State Park is a 20-30 min drive away for more activities and dining options! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend them to any family wanting to explore this part of eastern Oregon in an RV/Camper!!

Spent two lovely nights here this week on an Oregon road trip in celebration of our 40th anniversary. Very welcoming, family run stop with lots of sweet touches! You can feel the love poured into this gem. We stayed in a cottage room that had everything for comfort. Nice, cool a/c and a very soft, comfy bed, mini fridge and microwave. There were even paper plates and utensils that were a special surprise we used for our ice chest fixings. I enjoyed a nice soak in the large clawfoot tub each evening. We relaxed outside on the lovely grounds, and playing records and games in the adorable camp store. Ps - ask about the nearby swimming hole, it was great. Highly recommended this lovely, peaceful stay. Blessings on the Billards! Doug and Linda

There are a few things you need to know before you rent a room here. We brought our 17-year-old grandson here to check out the John Day Fossil Beds. It is quiet and clean, but the room we stayed in was very small. There were no bath towels in the room. The shower was cold around 8pm, but nice and warm at 7am. Dayville is a beautiful little town far away from any big city. Loved that! With that in mind, we brought an ice chest for our meals. Worked out great! Even being smaller than we expected, we made room to play board games at night, watched TV and had great Wi-Fi. Now that I know what to expect, if we're ever out this way again, I would stay here.

This is a review for the main house not the rv park, although the grounds looked beautiful at the park. First thing we noticed upon arrival was kids and dog running around enjoying the outdoors, I think they belonged to David and Lyndee. This alone made me happy as coming from the Willamette Valley we don't notice this much.|The house is spacious and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, pillows were great, with soft and firm supplied. Home is early 1900's, we all enjoyed looking at woodwork, lighting, wallpaper etc. Do not expect this home to be like a home you live in to make life easier. It is old and quaint. I loved it, however some may not. There is no dishwasher, toilet is quite low to ground, which was a bit difficult for us old people and furniture is not exactly what I would call real comfortable, cook stove is old, you have to light it like in an rv. I guess if I had to pick a negative it would be to have a couple recliners and a different heating system. Renter has to contact owner to turn heat off or on. When we were there it was cold mornings and evenings but warm during day. Felt bad having to have them come to adjust our temperatures, would be easier for renter to do it themselves. I won't mark down review for that as its only a minor inconvenience.|Walked around the park early one morning, loved hearing the cows and chickens and sounds of sprinkler, so peaceful. Overall it was a great place and would stay again.|Thank you to David and Lyndee who were accommodating...
