Very upset, drove for 3 hours to get to this park after calling repeatedly to the camp office number listed pin website. It justs rings... no message that says... park is currently closed. I called Reserve America and spoke to representative and explained our trip plans for the same evening. I told her it was a first trip and would be a nighttime arrival and i wanted to confirm that the park wasn't full because nobody answered the phone. She replied, "it's first come first serve and I'm sure you won't have any problems". The gate was closed!! Now low on diesel... and a 42ft camper to turn around.... we left after calling local police to hep try and find another park... as Google wasn't working because of signal strength. They recommended Oak Grove which we finally found... and it was open...BUT deserted at 820pm. Not a single camper... and spooky for 2 girls. We drove 2 1/2 back in the direction from which we came... to a park towards home... exhausted and frustrated. I simple comment under STATUS....at top of the website stating CLOSED would have saved over $100 in diesel and a lot of frustration... and a scratch on the brand new camper from a tree limb...
