Checked in after a long day of driving. Entering the lobby there was a sewer like smell. We tried to ignore and Checked in. Young lady at desk was very pleasant. Can't remember her name. Got to our room. Door was cracked open and all the lights in the room were on. Room was outdated, but appeared clean...until we went in bathroom. A lot, not just some hair in shower drain. Hair on counter. Room did not smell clean. Sheets did not look clean nor did they fit the bed. Dust ruffle was stuffed between box spring and mattress. Dishwasher has stains and rust on outside. Fingerprints on refrigerator. Just overall not clean and the carpet was nasty. My Son and DIL were in a different room. We went down to lobby to tell them the room was not in any shape to stay in. The young lady was very kind and offered us a suite. We agreed as that was fine with us. Went to the suite and guess what? Yep..nasty. Toilet was full of urine, toilet paper, and whatever was under the toilet paper. Dirty coffee cup in bathroom trash. Dirty towel laying in BR floor. Bed and sheets unclean, not sure the had even been changed. We decided we were leaving. One room, I can maybe understand. 2nd room dirty..nope. As we were leaving that room to go to tell our Son and DIL we wanted to leave, they called my cell telling US their room was not clean also! We told them what happened with us and they said we're leaving. The lady at front desk was very kind and said she understood. We did get reimbursed and left the Hotel. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this Hilton Home 2 Suites at all. To be a Hilton brand it was horrible. Need to step it up Hilton. I am a Hilton rewards member, but this has made me very leary to stay at another Hilton...
Read moreWe had an extended (few week) stay at this hotel. We (2 adults) stayed in the King Suite. Here's an in depth review:
Plus: The King Suite is spacious for a hotel room as it has the additional "living room" area with a TV. Bedroom also has a TV. The big desk area was so nice for completing my WFH job. Kitchen was perfectly adequate to get through a few weeks of microwave meals. Hot plates are available but they were all being used during our stay. We brought our airfryer/toaster combo. We used it nearly every day. The storage (bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom were all great. Black out curtains were incredible. The complimentary snacks and 24/7 coffee/hot water were very appreciated. Customer service was excellent. Breakfast is decent for hotel breakfast fare. They have a little warming case that has pre-made breakfast sandwiches and breakfast bowls. As well as the traditional oatmeal, cereal, waffle maker, toast, etc. The waffle iron was prone to sticking but they replaced it with a new one during our stay. Sometimes the waffle batter seemed a little off. Location is nice - right on the river.
Minus: Pocket doors are amazing but these ones were very heavy and prone to slamming shut unexpectedly if you were not careful. There is a constant "lake" smell outside the hotel - you're right on the river. But you don't smell it inside the room. We did not have Smart TVs, but we got around this easily by using a HDMI cord to connect our laptop. This is a preference, but the King Suite has just a shower, not the...
Read moreSituated in a beautiful harbor. Stayed overnight to break up a road trip. Staff were pleasant at Check in. My biggest issue was the room. We booked a suite and to be honest I cannot remember a room in worse shape that I have stayed in in the last decade and I used to travel for work (to use as a gauge). We were tired, had our baby and had unpacked by the time we started looking around so not worth it to move rooms.
The carpets has clearly not been vacuumed (found earring and covered in stains) the floors not really cleaned (cap to insulin needle pen). The walls have old stains, pocket door was black and window was so dirty from the outside you couldn’t really see the view. The mirror in the bathroom was dirty and the light fixture was broken with exposed bulb and missing a bulb all together. Wall thermostats not working. Again, just one night and could have just been our room, but the halls also had trash wrappers and a teeth flosser by the elevators so I think it might be an over all theme so moving rooms would have more than likely been futile. We would have asked to be moved if staying longer. On principal I just wouldn’t want to be putting any guest in a room in this shape period.
Looked to email corporate, but there isn’t really a clear email. So here to google I landed.
Pool was nice looking! Appreciate to completely...
