This hotel is almost perfect!
The hotel is located in the same carpark as the Walgreens Boots Alliance headquarters. Even the mountain cottontails enjoy the beautiful landscaping.
The front desk staff, especially the gentleman who runs the desk at night, Mr. Ebert, are kind, respectful, and helpful. I left my toiletries at home, but they had almost everything I needed, including a brush that worked for my very thick and curly hair.
Spending time in the hotel restaurant is truly a pleasure. The staff are so nice! They will remember you if you come in more than once. Even when they're busy, they make sure to take good care of you, and go above and beyond every time. Frank will make sure your breakfast starts your day right.
My only concern about the hotel common areas is the elevators. The doors open before the elevator has settled completely on the lobby floor, and I almost tripped and did stub my toe on the elevators several times. People with mobility issues need to take special care not to get hurt on these elevators.
The rooms are spacious and well layed out. There are distinct living, work, sleeping, and bathroom spaces, in about 300 sq ft. There are lamps and lighting in every space. My only complaint about the room is the bed. It's a hard innerspring mattress with a thin pillow top akin to sleeping on a brick floor. They provide faux down pillows, but no comforter. Instead there's a thin polyester blanket. Luckily, I was able to ask for more blankets and there is a thermostat for the room.
Overall, it was a true pleasure to stay at the Hyatt, and I'm looking forward to...
Read moreRead moreI booked this location for one reason only. I called the night before and confirmed they had a Peloton Bike, since it doesn't show in their photos. As usual I review based on Pros and Cons. I should point out that the three star rating is an average as some things were five star and others one star.||PROS:|1. Suite was very nice and comfortable, with quasi separate living room with couch and very large TV.|2. Internet was free.|3. Parking was free|4. Check in was easy, very friendly employee.||CONS: |1. As others have mentioned hotel has a tired feel. Lobby is beautiful, but doors have wear and tear, some carpets are not clean.|2 When I first went into the gym the Peloton bike was not working. The cords were frayed and I had to spend 20 minutes to jerry-rig the bike to work. The lever to set the seat was damaged and could not be changed. It is set at 20. I usually ride at between 24 and 26, so it was a challenge for sure.|3. When I told the front desk (before I jerry-rigged it) that I was probably going to check out after one day and wanted my points transferred to another Hyatt, the response was apathetic at best. I was told I was going to receive a call about it but never did.. Despite my status, I could tell they didn't care.|4. No free breakfast, in fairness not big deal, but $20 for the buffet Hmmm.|5. The rest of the gym was decent but the equipment especially the free weights and bench were obviously very old.||I probably would't stay here...
I spent 2 nights in room 458 for my cousin's wedding which was at this Hyatt. I like that they put two free 16-ounce bottles of water in the miniature refrigerator. At first I thought the blackout curtains would take away my need for a blindfold. But the room had an annoying nightlight that could not be turned off, built into the wall, right next to the switch for the light above the sink. At home I sleep with a bandana or piece of fabric as a blindfold. Also the lights in the bathroom were 2x-3x too bright. But I liked the choice of low-intensity lights in the rest of the room. I took off a star because at the wedding dinner, they didn't give my table bread rolls until we finally asked, after seeing that the other nearby tables got them, as if they just forgot to bring them to my table. But they gave us butter early in their serving of our table. Otherwise the service was ok. The guy sitting next to me wouldn't eat his food (he has some kind of beef dish) because he claimed it tasted like kerosine, but he seemed to be the only one complaining. I had some kind of chicken dish which was fine and they even gave me no sauce on it like I asked for in the invitation details. One other detail: I try to take stairs if I am going up or down 7 flights or less but I didn't see an entrance to the stairs on the first floor. I went down the stairs but I had to take the elevator the rest of the way because there was no exit from the stairs onto the...
