My parents paid for 2 years into this program for me. I am currently in school and almost finished. They have been pretty great about paying for things. I have ONE BIG PROBLEM. My school gives me a 20% legacy discount since my father graduated from the same university. Originally a year ago, we were told that I would be credited back this 20%. I planned my studies and finances around this. Recently, we were told by another employee that my discount does not matter. Now I will be paying for my last semester through loans or out of pocket. I get back the college illinois payment from the university as overpayment 3 months later. Not a great option if your child/beneficiary has a possibility of going to out of state or...
