We were looking for a clean, safe place to stay with our dog after a week and a half of traveling! We were weary from looking for dog friendly places that checked all the boxes for what we were looking for and at the last minute! Believe me when I say… that’s not an easy task! Then…. I ran across Cuyuna Lakes Stay during my Google search and gave them a shot in the dark call without expecting much in a town that I had never even heard of before much less been to! I was pleasantly surprised to hear a very friendly voice answer the phone who had answers for all of my many questions! She sent me the codes and directions to the motel. To say we were excited to open the door to one of the most welcoming places we have stayed in would be an understatement! Clean, refreshing, comfortable and extremely nice with everything we needed and wanted! Thank you Cuyuna owners and staff! You are on the right track! Read moreI know that this property was completely renovated inside and out a year and a half ago, and Tony and Karin did an absolutely amazing job. My wife and I stayed here for 3 months and found not only the property but the Deerwood area so very relaxing, comfortable and beautiful. Walls are thin: I could hear people in the room next to me and people walking above me.
The sheets had a weird smell to them; musky male cologne odor that went away after night one but it was nauseating. The bed was not comfortable. I’m only 145lbs and I could feel some of the springs.
While I do understand this is a very small town, the exterior lighting to the back rooms could use some more exp as a solo female traveler, I would have felt more comfortable with it better lit.
I honestly wouldn’t pay more than $60/night to stay here again.
Bathrooms were outdated, unable to adjust the shower head and walls had a lot of...
