Cute little inn/house - I love how the rooms are named after different types of wines. This is part of the Deaver property and they have a tasting room right next door - I would definitely recommend a visit there! While staying here at the inn, we met another couple and hung out with them on the patio in the evening. There are so many other vineyards and tasting rooms nearby so that was nice. The property also has a lake so you can go for a stroll around if you wish. ROOM We got the Chardonnay room which has a shared deck with the room next door. No one was ever out there though so we had it to ourselves - it was nice to enjoy wine there and play a couple rounds of board games. The room had everything we needed. While the AC didn't feel too strong, there was a ceiling fan so that helped a lot (we went during a hot weekend). INNKEEPER/HOST Morgan wasn't too friendly and didn't make us feel too welcomed - seemed like she just did and said the bare minimum. For example, when we returned from our outing she would poke her head out from the kitchen to see who it was and see us, but then just go back to what she was doing without saying hi or anything. Or after coming back inside after eating our breakfast on the patio, she would just be sitting in silence at the little kitchen table staring into her laptop. I noticed the morning after our first night there, she wrote a note on one of the fridges to not touch anything in that fridge because it's not for guests. I'm not sure if she thought we took something out from there but we didn't. We only opened the other fridge since that's where we can get water and where she puts our appetizers/wine. I did choose this inn because of the great reviews but that was due to the amazing innkeeper(s) that those guests had. I didn't realize how new Morgan was to this inn and that the previous hosts were no longer at Amador Harvest Inn. FOOD At 7am, there are pastries and coffee available. At 9am, breakfast is ready. Morgan makes breakfast and leaves it on the counter for us - you can eat it inside or take it out to the front patio which is what we did since the mornings were nice and cooler than the daytime. The breakfast itself is okay. We stayed for two nights so the first breakfast was french toast, sausage links, fruit and yogurt. The second breakfast was a breakfast burrito with a bowl of fruits. Our breakfast was never hot either. At 3pm, there's wine and an appetizer. The first night we got a charcuterie plate and the second night we got a veggie platter with hummus. The food was nothing impressive but I did like that there was wine to drink in the evening. :) Overall, I'm not sure I'd come back to this inn. I think it's the innkeeper who definitely makes the experience for guests and while it was a comfortable stay in our room, it didn't feel welcoming at all.

It was Memorial Day weekend and at the last minute we decided to go to our favorite area to wine taste. All our preferred places were booked up and I found a minimum 2 day stay at the Amador Harvest Inn. ||This bed and breakfast has the most beautiful view in the area. We chose the Chardonnay room which shares the balcony with another room which worked out great for us, since no one booked the room next door. You absolutely get the morning sunshine in this room. ||The inn-keeper Tara is a delightful gal who runs the B&B. She provides a glass of wine and a snack at 5pm. You can choose your wine since the B&B is on the property of the Deaver Winery. ||The breakfast is a full course meal which will send you off for a day of wine tasting and you can without a doubt skip your lunch. ||I think this could be our new favorite place and would certainly book here again. The one bad thing I could find is ...you must book two night stay. Sometimes we just like to go on Saturday and come back Sunday for a little hide...

Amador Harvest Inn is located in a serene and beautiful winery vineyard over looking Deaver Pond, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley wine country of Amador County, Ca. This small Inn consist of 4 ensuite rooms all on the second floor. We enjoyed the Zinfandel Room, a very spacious romantic room with a very comfortable king bed. There are lovely spacious common rooms for everyone to enjoy on the first floor and a great covered porch looking out on the pond where you can relax sip your wine, read your book or just watch all the birds.||You are greeted by Tara the innkeeper who is so nice and helpful going out of her way to accommodate all your needs. And what a fabulous breakfast she makes for you. You will not go away hungry while being sure to meet any special dietary needs.||Everything about this Inn is as great as can be even down to the linens they use.||If you want a very peaceful and quiet place this is the place.||We will...
