Heart of Dillon Motel — Hotel in Dillon

I hope you take a chance on HODM. I was managing my expectations going into this - I expected bugs, dirty sheets/bathroom, broken appliances. I did not encounter any of those! I could tell that management had really considered the guest experience at every step in the process! The man at the counter was so friendly and welcoming and even pointed us to an auto shop right next door (which is also getting a positive review!) for our blown out tire. The wall AC unit felt nice, the toilet was spotless, the curtains blocked out light really well. I could tell that the bathroom appliances - toilet, sink, shower - had been cleaned thoroughly. The bed was made very nicely as well. There was wifi! There was even a fridge!!! YES, there was a trick to flushing the toilet - but it flushed just fine. YES, the latch lock on the door was broken - but the knob lock worked just fine. YES, there was a little dirt in the corners - but the main surfaces were clean. I had no trouble sleeping because not only did I not see any bugs, it just didn't look like somewhere bugs would infest. At 65$/night for a King room, this is GREAT value for your money!!!! I wasn't planning a stay, but if the car had to break down I am so glad Dillon is where it happened. If was ever in that area again and needed a place to crash, I would choose HODM again over closer or cheaper or fancier places because I would know I was getting great value surrounded by...

Worst hotel experience ever, I have never been so dang disrespected. My wife went online & booked this hotel because we needed something last minute & they were all we could find. When we get there though she's asleep, after she wakez up & asks my wife what she needed my wife tells her we booked online & shows her the confirmation page with the confirmation # and all the booking details on it & she tells us she doesn't have any vacancies, after we had already booked online & when we pulled into the parking lot there was legit only 1 car in the entire place, 1 car so either she's a lazy human being who doesn't wanna do her job or by some crazy coincidence every guest there last night didn't have a car. Horrible experience terrible service, that lady shouldn't be working with the public at all... do not...

The place is as no frills as it gets. Cheap for a reason. Stains on linen, but it had no bugs...I checked! Room very hot when I arrived, but at least cooled off quickly with the AC. Didn't have any bad smells, as was reviewed by some, but that could have been due to my sense of smell being altered by allergies. At least I got well needed sleep during an almost 900 mile drive. I've stayed at worse, but this one is towards the bottom of the list. I can see how I was the only one here. One reviewer said it looked like Bates Hotel, pretty much...except no main...
