** ~ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ~ ** Chose this place last minute to get a bit of nature in our trip. DO NOT REGRET. The inn was small but very cozy. The room in itself was plenty big for two people. Imagine if you were in a house and you got your own room with a private bathroom, that’s what this is. The room could use more up-keeping but was very clean for what it was. There were no bugs in our room despite the “camping” aspect which was a plus (except for 1 dead fly on a ceiling light fixture but again this is glamping at it’s finest!) We were able to get the room at a good price and the private fire ring outside was a blast! They provided the wood all we had to do was buy their s’mores kit. It was my first time making a fire but it was so much fun! Chairs were provided and there was even a private picnic table. We didn’t get to try the ice cream place on property but the place looked packed for a Sunday. Inside the inn, we had a queen bed guest room. I always like to Lysol hotel bathrooms but forgot my disinfectant at home. Kampfire provided though! They had Lysol in our room as well as Shout, Fabreeze, and much more. The room was in fairly good shape, nothing too luxurious BUT great for an outdoor vibe. Bed was comfortable and room had a mini fridge with a freezer side. Complimentary snacks were included in the snack bar! Cereal, milk, bananas, OJ, yogurt and so much more!! Very family friendly but also great place to go on a date (which is what my gf and I did). Loved and will come again!!

We loved Kampfires so much on our first visit we immediately made plans to come here again the following month. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. They always seem to have an event or concert going on the weekends. The food truck was open on our first visit but closed on our second due to staffing shortages since college is back in session. If it happens to be open when you visit it is certainly worth a try. The pool is a salt water type which is great for the kiddos who never want to leave - no burning eyes and smelly swim attire. Our first time we stayed in the F Group of sites which is in the trees and even though it is closer to the freeway you really cannot hear it. Our second stay we camped in the A Group of sites (aka The Meadow). There is no shade (unless you get the back row) and the hornets were a bit troublesome. However, it is closer to the playground, pool & mini golf. They have an ice cream parlor with vegan options and a well stocked beer and wine cooler too. Our second visit was just as good as the first and we are hoping to come back in the fall one last time for this season.

Coming home from a trip to Maine we decided to stop at the Campground. We stayed for three nights. Wow what a nice place. Pricing was good. Great water pressure. The grounds, pool , bathroom were all clean and updated. They have activities for the kids (small mini golf, ice cream, horse shoes, and a bunch of back yard games). The Campground is right of 91 so easy access. Pleanty of open and covered sites. Great staff friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They have great tourist maps for the area. Definitely stop in again when back in Vermont. Highly recommended. Only down side is laundry room and bath house are little far depending on camp site location. Definitely a hidden gem.

Stayed at this Kampfire from 07/19-07/21 2022. Facilities are clean, the staff is super friendly and the ice cream was amazing. Kids loved the unlimited mini golf. I would suggest if you're staying for more than 3 days you get the unlimited pass for $4.99 per person.

During our stay the temp was in the low to mid 90's.The pool was great but if you're looking for shade you're pretty much out of luck. The actual pool deck could use some small tables with umbrellas to keep cool after you swim or while you watch the little ones. Just something to get out of the sun. This is also the first time we found a camp site where the pool opens at 10am and closes promptly at 8pm. All the other sites we have camped at open there pool at 9am and stay open until 9pm. We were in town to see family and explore the downtown Brattleboro area. It was a struggle to get back to the site in time to let the kids swim and cool off after taking in the sites while being out in the extreme heat.

We camped at F2 and this site is at the back of the property. You'll be the farthest from the pool, restrooms, store, ice cream etc. We also found that these sites were very close to each other. The sun comes up over your trailer hitch side and there will be no shade until around 2 pm when the sun goes behind the trees at the back of your camper.

Because our stay was mid week we didn't get to try the Whetsone brewery food truck so we did the next best thing. We took a drive to the brewery itself. The food was good but the scenery and beer were better. We sat on the patio overlooking the Connecticut River, drinking cold beers and watching the bald eagles fly overhead. If you happen to go here and see the parking lot full don't drive away! There is a large lot right across the street with plenty of parking. Also worth mentioning is the Kampfire store has a small but great selection of microbrews including some of...
