This is maybe my kids’ favorite spot in town. I can always drag them out of the house with promises of a cone and a round of mini golf — and oh hey, there’s a food truck so we have to eat an actual meal first! All the people who work here are so nice, and the scoops are HUGE. Like it’s probably not responsible to give a kid that much ice cream but whatever, they love it. The ice cream itself is nothing to write home about—it’s just Hershey’s, no fancy organic basil-chai-turmeric hand-churned gelato. If you want that there are plenty of other places in the area to find it, this is where you go to get a literal tub of something bright blue and cotton-candy-flavored, covered in sprinkles and precariously perched on a wafer cone, for $3.99. Factor in the food truck and the mini golf and that’s two solid hours of kids not whining or zonked out on screens. Win!

I would go back for two scoops of dark chocolate with raspberry bits alone. Wouldn't it be funny and tasty if we can manage every flavor over a week of summer living in southern Vermont. Ahhh, to dteam about the good life on the road!

One of a few places open during the week and till 8 at least. The server was accommodating for the flavors we asked to sample. The one thing that is really annoying is that at the end of a transaction you get a "recommended" tip on their tablet to pay, and the recommendation starts at 22%- the tip options were 22, 25, and 28?? Like how insane? The options should be 15, 18, and 20 percent max. It’s an ice...

Scoops is connected to the Kampfire Campgrounds property. It does have some hard ice cream but not a lot of flavors. If you're looking for one of those stand alone ice cream stores with tons of choices, this ain't it. If you're not to fussy it'll be just fine. There's a grassy area with plenty of picnic tables and some beanbag tossing games. I don't know if they are free...
