The Duncan Hotel — Hotel in Duncan

Not gonna lie. At first glance when we pulled up I was skeptical. It didn't look bad, just old and almost like it wasn't even in operation. But the sweet hotel manager was outside doing some work as they recently remodeled she told us. I have a severely injured knee and my boyfriend couldn't find his i.d. and she made it easy for us to get a room. I didn't have to get out and stand around in pain. She looked at me to make sure it was me and let my b.f. take care of renting a room. She started to give us one upstairs and then she said to my boyfriend "oh yeah, her knee is hurt. I don't want her to have to go up any stairs". My boyfriend had asked a bunch of questions about the area so i wouldnt blame her if she had forgotten by then but she remembered right away. Awesome woman. She has no idea how grateful I am that she not only gave us a room downstairs but that she remembered my knee was hurt. That is honest caring about the guests here. The room itself is very nice. Comfy bed and cool a.c. The layout is a little odd due to the shape of the room but I like quirky things so I think it's cute. Has a mini fridge and microwave and a little table. Spacious closet. Apparently it started as a home, was the greyhound station for a while and now it's a motel. Dont let the fact it's not covered in neon vacancy signs fool you. It's open and definitely a more than decent place to stay. Didn't make there until 8pm last night and she came back over after just leaving and got there pretty fast. She was very nice and the room was great and very clean. Good wifi connection. And it was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel. They were definitely life savers because everyone else was booked and I had to greyhound to catch. You guys are great the price was fair. Being only place left with a room alot of places raise the price they didn't. If your ever passing thru Duncan AZ I can't recommend these guys enough. Stayed one night while on a bicycle tour in the area. Was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this little hotel. Room was clean and well appointed and had all the standard amenities (TV. mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker). Good breakfast restaurant right across the street.
