I want to preface this by saying I was really hoping the outcome with management would have been different considering how dangerous this situation could have potentially been. As per Cave Springs rules, each unit is allowed ONE parking spot at their unit/cabin. We arrived on check in day to a vehicle parked in front of our unit. After speaking with staff we were informed they do not keep track of who’s vehicle is tied to which unit, and suggested a parking spot that was too small for my brand new SUV to park in without dinging my doors… when we returned in the evening the vehicle was still parked there after staff left a written note on their windshield. I tried to be reasonable and park in the place suggested by staff and my passenger accidentally dinged my door.. I was justly annoyed at this point and went back down to the office where I, the guest, was tasked with disturbing other resort guests(knocking on their doors, disrupting dinner etc) to try and figure who’s vehicle it was parked in front of our unit. Staff clearly had not dealt with this type of situation before and I in no way blame the front desk employee, this falls on the lack of protocols provided by management in place for situations like this. Once we found them, the vehicle owner moved their SUV but not after another one of their guests came over to exchange words with us stating “they’ve been coming here for years” and that somehow entitled them to parking in front of OUR UNIT that we paid for. We told them it didn’t matter, the staff left the note on the vehicle and they needed to move. They proceeded to walk in front of my vehicle and flip us off… this entire interaction could have been avoided if staff would have handled this situation properly. The responsibility should not have fallen on me as the guest to disturb another guest. I slept for a total of two hours that first night in fear that my vehicle would be vandalized. Not exactly the relaxing vacation I was expecting. Once informed of the situation, management proceeded to take their time coming up with a resolution… a measly $50 voucher(BARELY covers a partial night)for a stay that cost me $658… Seems like a slap in the face considering how extremely lucky it was that only words were exchanged with the other guests. We will NEVER return to Cave Springs as they clearly have the inability to take proper action in ensuring they keep their guests safe or willing to return...

I stayed two nights in rustic cabin 10. This cabin is over 100 years old, and to me, it is the best choice. They offer modern cabins for 2 or 3 times the price. And they offer hotel rooms. But i feel you can find those anywhere. This cabin has serious personality and is quite memorable. It has a bathroom and showet, they provide soap, shampoo, and great towels. Certain cabins have a balcony out the back door, with river views and a barstool type eating area. The front of the cabin has a porch, a rocking chair, a hammock swing, and a nice weber bbq in front of each cabin. Across the way is a park-like area with hammocks, plenty of picnic tables spaced out nicely, firepits, bocce ball, basketball, and little lights connected to all the trees. Hundreds of lights, and the stadff meticulousy checks and replaces burned out bulbs. It gets into the 80s in the room during the day, with no ac, but i left all the windows open and it will be 62 by morning. Really refreshing. A full fridge and freezer and a camping stove rounds out the kitchen. Plates, glasses, pots and pans and kitchen utensils are provided. Youre close to your neighbors so it feels like a bit of a community. The only downside is the freeway noise, as the resort is right along I-5. Without the freeway, it would be truly spectacular, but it takes a bit of effort to zone out the trucks and cars. Only other negative is the very cold pool, i opted not to swim. Maybe I'd like that more in August

We stayed in one of the new airstreams with a queen bed. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was very clean (we may have been the first people to use it since the RV area was totally unoccupied and still being worked on - also the cable for one of the tvs wasn’t connected yet) but close to the road so a there is noise from that. At first I appreciated the communication via text (they had to move our reservation due to a key issue. Communication was very frank, no apologies offered) and the self check-in. The confirmation text gives you a number to text if you need anything and the person moving our room texted from a different number. There was a kuerig in the room with coffee pods, but no creamer or sweeteners and around 7am I texted the first number to ask for some. No response. Day after checkout, still no response, so I texted the second number to let them know - maybe the number isn’t being used anymore, the system might be new - who knows. A day later and no response to that either. It was a very simple request, I hate to imagine being there with a real issue. Hope they fix their customer service because otherwise it’s. Cute place.
