This was a random find for us as we drove across the county and it was very nice. Dogs are welcome. The rooms and facilities were clean and quiet. It is located by the Illinois River, which is quite picturesque. There’s a dog friendly restaurant down by the river that had good food and rather chaotic service. It’s a short walk or plenty of parking. Sue F, the breakfast attendant was very accommodating. She offered to watch my dog for me while I ate breakfast (no dogs in the breakfast area). Highly recommend.

This is for me is a bit disappointing but still good stay here, so the room i originally booked with the whirlpool was not available. So I was looking forward to the hot tub which also was not available. Other then that the room I did receive was nice and clean. The breakfast was good. I did have a couple of minor issues and the front desk did fix one of them. I will say the tv is ok, not the best picture on it. Overall, I will round up to good.

Stayed here for business had a great experience Francis the bartender was awesome and the lady at the front I don't remember catching her name. She had multi colored hair. She was amazing was able to point me to some great restaurants. And was able to point me in the direction of stuff to do while in town. Room was clean hotel was nice

I am still here anticipating check out, and still in disbelief of the other good reviews. Expected more for price. Out of state for a wedding 40 mins away but wanted the pool, nice stay with my son here.||Check in was wild. Instant regret with lack of hospitality. I did get a hello but had to ask for all other details. Elevator? Pool? I heard there was breakfast? This ended up being least of my worries!||Walked in room. Motel feel. Stains all over carpet. Lampshade torn. Bathroom counter is ā€œtroubledā€. Air conditioning on 60 full blast to rid of odors I presume.||Very musty. Room smells like it was a smoking room for 400 years but they recently stopped and air freshen aggressively. My son was very upset by the smell. Lots of tears and he’s 11, special needs. I was so angry at my self for trying something new and not sticking to big brands at this point. Asked staff for new room and said sold out and no manager until after I leave.||Ok, thought I’d have family come by from 40 mins away to see if I was overreacting. They said I was out of my mind if I was paying any more than 80 dollars a night. It was triple that per night. ||Ok, not wanting to complain further, I said let’s go to pool. We unfortunately couldn’t stay because it was just over max capacity. It looks nice but there were 47 kids in pool at once and about 20 adults watching on. Too much rough housing and my son got kicked in head. One kid spitting in pool. I knew there was not pool supervision but no one to monitor anything. Hot tub broke (knew in advance) but kids wrestling on it.||Bedtime. Well, again no monitoring or enforcing and there was an aggressive game of tag going off and on from midnight until 1:30am Friday. Walls are THIN. We had a sound machine but it was no match for the teens and the air conditioning trying all its might. Every hour or so we awoke until 5:40am when the room became illuminated by the sun. There are blinds but they don’t touch the wall and no curtains. ||At this point I called corporate because I thought if we could get a refund for the following night we could find anything else perhaps and forgo the pool. Family overrun with wedding guests, and if it weren’t for my son I would rather sleep in our van than stay. But I imagine they are not in during the weekend and I left a message. ||We came down for hot breakfast the first morning and they had biscuits/gravy, scrambled eggs, and potatoes. Plus yogurt, milk, and bagels. But we didn’t eat a thing and got out of there as I was trying not to get sick. Food everywhere. Ground in the carpet. Not like a restaurant. Maybe there was a food fight? Ate elsewhere. They said they couldn’t clean totally until the breakfast hours were over.||Biggest problem was as kind as I was with my delivery about all of this, they just looked at me like I had two heads, mouth agape in confusion. No |apologies about anything. Not an eye roll but a sigh and holding breath wishing I would go away. It was hard for me to speak up but it’s just too many issues |to not.||We had to stay the second night and it was a better sleep at least. ||Positives:|Beds comfy and clean|There was an attached bar that people seemed to like|Good location||I can’t recommend. Please Stoney Creek don’t ask me to call, you contact me. I’m tired of calling. You...

We stayed at your Peoria location. It was a HORRIBLE experience. The employees were not friendly. The parking lot needs improvement. There were kids running up and down the hall and stairs. There were kids in the room above us jumping up and down which started at around 7pm and continued until 11. I called the front desk to complain. I was told 'quiet time' started at 10pm but they would go say something. It continued past 10 so I called two more times and was assured they would do something. We did not get to sleep until about midnight!! Very bad concept to have people who stay in a hotel to sleep placed next to and/or UNDER a room that attracts families with kids that run around and stay up ALL night. More importantly, why not sound proof between floors? It sounded like they were going to come through the floor!! We had high hopes for this hotel. We had always wanted to stay in the Des Moines IA location but found there was one in Peoria that we cld stay in on our way from Indianapolis. We thought this would be our 'go to' hotel from now on for our trips to Indianapolis. Boy were we wrong. We will NEVER stay here again. The breakfast, also, was not good. It did not start until 7am and the worker made sure we knew it too in a rude manner. There are many people that like to get down to breakfast before all the kids come down which is why a 6 - 630 bfast time is best. We got down there early to have coffee and were given evil stares from the worker. How dare we get down there early to enjoy some coffee before all the other guests and kids, especially, arrived. In fact a family came down with their 4 kids and one of them was sick. She was coughing all over everything and it was not a dry cough but a very congested cough and the kid looked sick! We quickly left as well as many other guests. The room was ok but the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The pillows were lumpy and you could feel every move in the bed. The water pressure was horrible. The tv reception was not good. The ONLY things that were good were the size of the room and the cleanliness of the shower and the fragrance of the soap/shampoo. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good and we will never stay at a Stoney Creek hotel again! 4/1/23 Update. Nathan from the hotel reached out immediately to correct this. I was having a family medical crisis and he was very understanding and caring as to why I cld not talk immediately to him. Once we finally were able to talk, he apologized and stated it is not normal practice to place guests without children under/next to bunk bed rooms due to the noise. He acknowledged that they 'dropped the ball' and apologized. This was the only issue addressed. I did not bring the other issues up, nor did he as he probably thought the noise was the biggest issue. He offered to comp us a room but after much thought my husband and I declined and our money was kindly refunded. Will we stay there again? Sadly no - Even though Nathan was super friendly and attentive, the hotel is not for us. If this is a family stay (with kids) this will prob be the...

Ok here's the deal from yours truly, a frequent motel stayer: I should've just booked a motel. Motels have a bad rep but for the purposes of laying your head somewhere for a night, they get the job done just fine. I wanted to try something a little nicer this go round and what a complete disappointment! ||The hotel itself is very lovely. I love the rustic vibe, very cute. Clean enough environment, and the room was really nice! I'm not a huge stickler for cleanliness like some other folks here in these reviews. As long as, at an initial sweep, all looks kosher - then I'm happy. ||My issue really came down to service. At check-in I was helped by a rather rude woman who, after telling me to wait a moment (no prob) then, started barking things at me and got annoyed when I didn't realize she was speaking to me. The rest of the check-in went... coldly. ||Coldly inandsofar as that woman was concerned but then! Another employee appears at the counter, talking to the other workers. Oh joy, maybe he will be hospitable! Oh .. oh no.. he's cursing. Oh wow he's... he's cursing a lot. Now, I curse like a sailor in my own time, when talking to friends and family. That's fine, but when I'm already having an unimpressive experience with this check-in, to suddenly start hearing f-bombs and n-words so carelessly thrown around by an employee directly in front of a line of guests was WILD. I don't know why he thought that was ok. ||I wasn't told anything about my stay. It was "Name šŸ˜’ ok card for incidentals šŸ˜’ {insert man appearing and cursing loudly} ok here room 203 šŸ˜’". Really pleasant. Wasn't sure if the pool I'd seen outside was something I was allowed to use, didn't know if there was complimentary breakfast or when it would be the next morning, didn't know anything as I wasn't told anything. I wasn't super inclined to ask any questions either, as the lady at the desk was a real peach and my existence in her place of work seemed to be bothering her greatly. ||Like I said up top, room was nice - no notes. Breakfast, which does in fact exist, was small but nicer than your average motel selection. Glad I didn't miss it, still have no idea when that starts or ends. ||My typical motel rating sits at a 3, unless I'm particularly impressed. Motels are motels, you know what you're signing up for and you're paying less for an understood less hotel-y experience. This, I've given a 2 - 1 for the nice room, 1 for the nice breakfast, and negative 3 for bizarre service. Even at the Super 8 they tell you when breakfast is and are friendly at check-in. I mean, come on. The bar is low. And for over $150 I certainly expected the bar...
