I camped overnight in a tent, with my 8 & 9 year old boys. We had family visit (they didn't stay overnight) with their boys, ages 5, 7 & 10. The experience had the potential to be incredible, but ended up being such a disappointment, I seriously considered packing up the boys and going home.

We arrived Saturday afternoon and set up the tent at our site, then explored a little. We spent some time in the pool. Even though they are older and able to swim, they spent a fair amount of time in the kiddie pool because the regular pool was a bit crowded and the kiddie pool was in the shade (the temperature was in the 90's). The pool had (what I hope was) little paint flecks...ewww!

Announcements were made via a loudspeaker system notifying everyone of activities taking place, when the store/office was closing and reminding everyone of the curfew and quiet time. I thought that was pretty cool.

We went back to the camp site and started a fire to cook our dinner. As we were finishing up dinner, some seasonal campers decided to use a nearby empty site to set-up horseshoes (this was around 6 - 6:30). I'm all for a good game of horseshoes and having a good time, but they were extremely LOUD and the language they were using was vulgar (not to mention, incessant - we counted the use of the "f" bomb 5 times in about 15 seconds). I was hesitant to say anything to them because it was a large group of people and my husband was working, so I was staying there alone with my children. My SIL did stop by the office on their way out and let them know of the situation and was told management would be notified. To my knowledge, no one ever came out and talked to them.

We decided to explore some more and the boys wanted to play in the game room. The campground itself it absolutely gorgeous. We got back to the site and the horseshoe game was still there. They pulled up a 2nd picnic bench to accommodate all the people and the foul language continued.

My 9 year old went into the tent at 8:45 because he was tired and my 8 year old and I joined him shortly thereafter. At 10:45, my 9 year old complained that he was still unable to get to sleep (I think he'd been dozing, but unable to really fall asleep). I let him know that quiet time started at 11:00, so it would quiet down soon. The noise continued after 11:00, but by then it seemed he had fallen asleep. They didn't actually leave and quiet down until 11:30ish - approximately 5 HOURS after the game set-up had begun.

We were up the next morning a 5:45. My husband called in the morning and my son told him he didn't want to come back because of the noise and the bad language.

My biggest problem is that the main office was notified of the issue, but did absolutely nothing about it. There is plenty of room by the creek and away from other campers for them to have their horseshoe game, but they decided to have it right next to where other people were camping.

Update August 2013: I received a phone call from the campground approximately 3 weeks after posting this review. They apologized for the difficulty we experienced and indicated that they talked to the campers involved with the horseshoe game.

We went back for a one night stay in August. Our experience this time around, was completely different. There were more campers this time around, but everyone was nice and respectful. I heard no cursing and the campground was quiet enough to sleep at a...

This is a true family campground! I needed an adapter to hook up my electric and I wasn't sure which one it was so they insisted I just take both of the ones I thought might be it and just bring back the one that wasn't needed, oh and pay for it then when I bring it back! came around daily and picked up your garbage, there was an activity board in the office stating the daily schedule, they would make announcements to remind you also. the property grounds are very well maintained. The view of the stream below was breathtaking and the staff really ddi their best to make us feel welcome right from the start. Yes there are people out having fun throughout day and night, I personally didn't experience anything negative or any foul language. Just people having genuine fun! My experience is that most people keep to themselves except in the pool area, the sites are very spacious with plenty of trees nearby for all your camping needs. My family camped here for weeks while we completed a Roofing contract nearby in Bethlehem, we are on site 42, which is in the lower section, a GORGEOUS site, people coming in actually ask how long were staying! But know that during our stay we had a couple of really heavy rainfalls and our site was a big puddle for a day after that, I think the upper sites away from the stream are more desirable because they are closer to the bathrooms/pool/store. etc.. and they are on a slight incline making any standing water disappear! The game room is in need of updating, but it's just my husband and 2 grown adult children so that wasn't an issue for us. I would actually choose this site again even though we took in some water because it is such a great site and we had a lot of privacy because most people camped up top, me I loved the tranquility of where I was at! For the money, it's a beautiful location, with great people, onsite camp store with ice open daily, daily onsite activities, 13 minute drive to Quaker town. I will be returning and I would recommend...

I'm not one to post any bad reviews on businesses that provide family time services, but this has really hurt my family with disappointment. Hear me out...

First off, checking in was fine at the office. Upon arriving at our camp site, you'll see based on the images that this is NOT A TENT FRIENDLY CAMPSITE, PERIOD. i would not ask ANY family to pitch a tent on top of ROCKS & GRAVEL. There's simply NO GRASS at all! You tell me where the GRASS IS??? The office tried to help by moving us to another location, which is not labeled at all and it was by the dumpsters and construction area where all the equipment are... As you are a business owner of a private property, i would assume that they would do their best in providing the best experience, but once you see how disgusting and dirty the creek actually is, why would you allow your guest to actually witness such thing. I was so disappointment by the lack of common courtesy to your paying patron that i didnt even take a picture of that. Fishing for what? dead fish?

Secondly, PLEASE DON'T ADVERTISE on your WEBSITE that's it's a FAMILY CAMPGROUND where only RV'S are obviously accommodated. NO Tent guests on site at all. If you are a RV'er, then this will not apply. Third, each campsite is so tight that the guest next door would be less than 20 feet away. Your neighbor would be able to hear all conversations... simply not enough space for each guest. Forth and most importantly, MY CHILDREN cried in disappointment as we drove home from this place. You can't give me back the time i spent planning and prepping ALL MEALS and camping gear. I don't think you understand how much my kids were looking forward to this... I take full responsibility for simply trusting Google Reviews, never again.

To the owners, i understand you're running a business, but this is not the way to earn people's hard...

This was my first time enjoying camping. I spent two nights at a nightly campsite (Creekside) that had full water and electric in October 2025. * I brought heavy duty extension cords, battery backup, my laptop, Starlink (for satellite Internet and AT&T WiFi Calling) and was able to enjoy camping while working remotely. In terms of cooking I had a miniature propane grill. To stay warm at night I got a simple 500W Space Heater (with applicable heavy duty cord), and warming blanket. * My career is mostly working from home so this was a great opportunity to get a break in the day to day routine in my work schedule. * I was impressed of how other campers respected quiet hours as everyone was quieter way earlier than the specified times (which you don't see in normal apartment living even). * The bathroom facilities and showers were kept extremely clean. In terms of working remotely as an IT Consultant (Programming & Engineering) I found this campsite a perfect start for camping. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Very nice campground ran by great people. My husband and I have been camping the past 3 years and have gone to a different campground almost each weekend in the summer months. This is the first campground we have returned to. We discovered it on 4th of July weekend this year. It's nice and relaxing and settled on a nice stretch of Tohickon Creek. Even with the creek it isnt toi buggy either! There is a historic grist mill and covered bridge st the beginning of the campground giving it awesome character. We just spent a 4 day weekend here again this past weekend. On Monday, there were only a few campers left and someone took out the electric wire hanging over the road knocking down the wood pole when they were leaving with their camper (TV antenna was left up). The campground owners had their electricans out within 30 minutes and the power was restored by the end of the work day. My husband and I like it here so much we are returning for the entire month of September. I definitly recommend this hidden gem.

I was not thrilled with the campground. It has very small sites that are on top of each other. We rented a creekfront site and it was overgrown so you couldn't see the creek nor fish from the site. Lots of dead trees and limbs surrounded most sites that weren't completely in the sun. It is only a matter of time before a limb or tree comes down on a tent or camper. It is sad many of the trees are Ashes. There is poison ivy everywhere including playground. Not everyone cleans up after their dog, we had some on our site when we arrived and there was some on the trails to the bath house. On the plus side everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. That is why I gave 3 stars.
