Texas Inn and Suites RGV — Hotel in Edinburg

I made a reservation ahead of time to not have to be looking for a room when I arrived , when I arrived lobby was closed I had to confirm my reservation through a drive through window , Hotel was not even half way full , prices were above fair not a holiday and no breakfast included for almost 100 dollars a night , I advised them that my other half has really bad knees and that she can not climb stairs , they told they could accommodate me with no issues , she told me would be 15 dollars extra for downstairs, I told her that the hotel was dead and that there was no real reason for the up charge , it was the same kind of room nothing special about it , I told her I was not okay with the up charge and she said okay sir , she charged me the rate that booking.com gave me , so I was like this lady has a heart she understands my situation, I signed a credit card receipt which was the total of the original Booking.com without the up charge and the room was down stairs , we were like bless her heart for understanding, well before the night was up I happened to check my online banking acct , guess what I found ?! The up charge fee on a separate transaction, SHE never told me she was gonna proceed with the up charge cause I told her I was not okay with it , I didn’t go and call her out on it , I was like maybe it’s a charge that is gonna fall off , maybe she made a mistake , I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt , this was on Saturday, today Sunday it not pending anymore and it cleared and the up charge fee is on my account ! I’ve tried calling and no response back , beware of these people ruining there hotel like it was some kind of back door hotel or something, the room was also not even worth the 100 dollars a night paint falling off the walls the tub was in horrible shape we didn’t even wanna shower in it , ice machine was advertised that they had one , nope no ice machine , hotel did not serve it’s purpose of being convenient and staying in budget for a overnighter , stay away guys , DO NOT GIVE THESE GUYS YOUR HARD...

I got a room at 2am closer to almost 3am the employer in the front desk was nice enough to get us the King size 1 bed we wanted and offered to change the turing in time to 12 noon intead. I was pleased with that so i didnt complain when i went into the room the top bed cover had like bread crumbs, I guess room service had a snack when cleaning the room. I made no big deal since I checked the rest of the sheets and where clean. The next morning I had room service knocking on the door since they where not aware the room was going to get turned in at 12..10min later at 11:20 the water was shut off ...when I called the front desk they stated that the room had to be turned in at 11 when I explained they said that they where going to check on it and the water was shut off becuase they where fixing a leak ...I called them again less then 10min and asked how long the repair was going to take because my husband was in the shower when they did the shut off, I got the same respond let me check on that...5min later I got a call that the water was back on. As I was leaving i went and put the iron back on the hook I notice a little cockroach walking on the wall. I was beyond upset on the cleanliness of the room, & the service except with the customer service the front desk employer displayed at night when providing the room. Will defiantly nor be returning to hotel again not worth the money you pay...

Had a small inconvenience at my house, so decided to rent a room here. First off it was 70$ one night... The pool was dirty but it was closed anyway... So I called a friend of mine to meet me here to head out to a water park near by... I understand the kids hung on the fence by the pool so I get why the manager got upset... We did get after the kids... But, he then came to the room and yelled at me and stated the room is for 4 people not 8 id need to pay 10$ per person... I said, they aren't staying they just met me here. And he continues to yell and say the terms are no more than 4 I said THEY ARE NOT STAYING WE ARE MEETING UP TO GO SOMEWHERE... he continued you have 30 minutes to get them out or I'm calling the authorities and you need to be out. I said we will be gone in 30 minutes we are just meeting to head out to a water park nothing more they are not staying... And he yelled again saying MAM I NEED THEM GONE IN 30 MINUTES THEY CANNOT STAY THE NIGHT... Honestly I rented the room and I cannot have any guests over just to meet up... I think he thought they were here to use the pool but my friend and I had no intention or interest of using the hotel pool we wanted to go to the near by water park. So...
