I never like to leave a bad review but honestly this hotel did not meet my standards. I was looking for economy to have money to spend in AC, and this Hotel offered great things, like free breakfast, Wi-fi and parking lot but I have never encountered such a bad smell coming from a room. Our room smelled like everyone else's matters were inside our room, the smell was unbearable. We had to buy 6 Car Pines Trees to put all over the room, A/C and bathroom we also bought Glade spray to scent the room in order to sleep. My boyfriend spent both nights throwing up cause of the smell, he went to the front desk to complain about the smell the first night and they gave him a spray that only worked for a few minutes. The guy even told my boyfriend that "if he was taking a shower and saw something black floating not to think it's a fish, cause it could possibly be a turd". Like are you freaking kidding me!! We had friends also staying over and their room smelled as well and we were traveling with a 3 month old baby and a toddler so imagine. Other things that I found in our room were plumbing fixtures had brown spots looked like they had corrosion, the toilet paper holder had brown spots and falling apart when you pulled the toilet paper, the ceiling was bubbly and peeling off, one of the beds had a broken piece of wood that was hanging from the sheet, one of the beds had a side part that was sticking out to the side and we bumped in to it a few times, it hurt each time, the furniture was all scratched and falling apart, one of the sheets had a little whole, the TV was horrible the signal was so bad it look like ants in the screen, one of the outlet covers was broken and hanging from the wall, very unsafe. I'm not trying to nit pick because the price was cheap and I have paid the same or less than what I paid there and the conditions were not this poor. Fix your hotel you guys have a beach for crying out loud. You can fix the rooms and charge more cause you have ocean view rooms, city view rooms that I was looking at the Golden Nugget and other hotels laying down, how awesome is that? And a private beach right off the hotel!! GREAT amenity! The staff was very friendly at the front desk, that I can't complain about them, they made us feel very welcome, but at the end of the day it's not even their fault, they just work there. The owners need to get it together! I highly suggest the "Owners" of this hotel to fix the plumbing in their hotel because it doesn't cost that much to hire a plumber with all the money they make, that hotel was packed so keep your customers happy safe and healthy if you do not want to have bad reviews or a law suit if someone really gets sick. Another last thing I didn't like was that they left my bill at the door the day I was gonna check out, I feel like anybody can grab that paper and read and know about my business and personal and credit card information or if I owe anything, this paper can be given to the customer as they check out. I'm sorry but I would not return...
Read moreMy friend and I recently stayed at your hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I was excited for our trip, but our room quickly diminished my excitement. I notified the employee at the front desk, but he was less than sympathetic about my findings in our room. He did not even offer us an apology. I booked our room a few weeks prior to our stay on July 18th through Priceline who rated your hotel a 21/2-star. That rating was clearly incorrect.
I arrived before my friend did, to check in and get things situated; we stayed in room 420. Upon unpacking my luggage, I noticed there was another person’s clump of hair in the bathroom in various locations (i.e. Sink & bathtub). After findings that the bathroom was not cleaned from the past guest, I checked the beds and found the same thing. There was not only clumps of hair in the bedsheets but there was also a woman’s makeup (eye mascara), still on the pillow cases. I promptly notified the front desk and they informed me that I could come down and get new sets of sheets if I wanted to change them myself due to there being no one else working in the entire hotel, but him, at that time. I informed my friend of the situation and that when she arrives she should pick up the clean sheets from the front desk before coming up to our room. Upon her arrival, as she is waiting for the front desk clerk to bring the sheets out, she notices what is on the television in the lobby in which she is absolutely disgusted! It appears that there is an adult film of multiple people engaging in sexual intercourse playing on the television. This is suppose to be a professional establishment and she was absolutely appalled to see this, especially knowing that there are families and young children staying at this hotel. When the man at the front desk was confronted by my friend on all of these issues he could have cared less that we were unsatisfied. There was no offering of an apology or a feeling of remorse. When asked, he stated his name is Vadim. He was also very short when she had told him she is going to the manager and how disgusting our room was; even going as far as answering a phone call while she was in the middle of speaking to him. It also did not seem to faze him that this channel was on the television as well. He claimed that Channel 15 (HBO) is the only channel that they lobby gets. Which I find to be a lie because 20 minutes later, there was a new channel on. The next morning, this whole scenario was relayed to the manager Luis and he could have cared less just like the employee Vadim. Being the manager of the establishment, I would think an apology would have been the least Luis could offer. We shoulv'e not had paid for staying...
Read moreWe always have one chance to make a good impression. Well, that’s not the case of the Comfort Inn West Atlantic City. I just spend five nights to this hotel and here is my findings.
Let’s start by the beginning.
Arrival and check-in Dirty parking lot (hotel’s towels, garbages, cigarets) Only one full garbage No sitting area Dirty sliding doors (nobody clean it in five nights) A lady felt in the parking lot. No hotel’s employee try to assist her. Do not recognize reward members. Well, we learned upon Check-in that the hotel will be flagged IHG by the end of the summer. There is two elevators. One is out of order and the other is very slow. It seem the other one is out of order for long Ice machine has 30 years old. Don’t use them, they are dirty and they seem good for garbage.
Room
Pros: spacious, color tv, fridge and air conditioning and safe deposit box Blood found on the cover sheet upon check-in. Fixed rapidly by housekeeping. Dirty furnitures. I had to clean them. Iron board in bad condition. Mold in the bathtub The window ornaments did not hold in place. I had to replace them myself Windows not cleaned for a while
Staff
Front desk ladies (day shift) spend her time on her cell phone. She does not seem to be interested in answering and welcoming the customers. Housekeeping always looking to their cellphone. Not interesting in interacting with guest. Also, they do not prioritize guest who wants to use elevator. Housekeeping don’t have proper tools to do their jobs. They use bell carts to carry dirty sheets and towels. During check out, I bring my constructive comments to de front desk lady and she simply told me: “OK”. Well, nobody care in this hotel about guests.
My recommendations:
Should book to Wingate by Wyndham (2 minutes from Comfort inn). Renovated hotel, clean rooms in good conditions and staff welcoming. I spend my 6th in the area night at this hotel. Owners should train their staff on guest service and give some “love” to their hotel Choice Hotels and/or IHG should release their contract with the hotel or perform a LRA...
