This was my first time ever staying in a bed and breakfast. Firstly, though there are various options of motels in the area, The White House of Eldora B&B was the absolute best choice I could have chosen. Not only is Barbara, the owner of this B&B, an amazing and attentive host, but the location is quiet, and relaxing. The rooms are beautiful, very creatively designed, and clean. The bed was very comfortable, the shower had good pressure and nice hot water. There is free Wi-Fi as well. The room I stayed in (during a winter work trip) was well heated. The Vienna was the room I chose, and even has an external entrance and a deck, which has a canopy during the warmer seasons. She does offer a small breakfast in the morning, fruit, biscuits, Etc, and there is a common area outside the rooms, with a mini fridge, coffee machine, coffee provided, tea, and the like. The room was very reasonably priced, compared to other B&B locations I have called on in the past, and the reason I had never stayed at a B&B in the past, is due to the fact that people overcharge immensely, but again this was extremely Fair priced. I would definitely recommend the White House in Eldora B&B for anyone traveling through the area, seeking a safe haven...

Instantly I was transported to Vienna and embraced by a kinder more genteel era. My hostess guided me through this journey with a grace, bearing and refinement uncommon to the cornfields of the countless hours preceeding my arrival. Lulled to sleep by the echoes of opera sung by a sweet, gentle voice I slept the sleep of agels embraced in the arms of heaven. As the sun arose I wrestled myself from the comfort of my bed and steeled my body with regretful purpose to return to the 21st century and endless vista's of yet...
Read moreExtraordinary hospitality and elegant rooms awaited us at The White House in Eldora, Iowa, last week-end. Located in a quiet neighborhood, we experienced the soundest sleep we have had in a long time. The rooms are furnished in exquisite European style. Whether you sleep in Madrid, Paris, Venice, or Vienna, you will be pleased!|| The owner/hostess prepared a special breakfast (Belgian waffles with whipped cream and strawberries on top) for our granddaughter's sixth birthday. Everything was prepared by hand and was organic. Our granddaughters were treated as princesses (notice crowns); it was an experience they will never forget. My husband and I will cherish the memories and the...
