Firehouse Saloon & Grill — Restaurant in Eldora

Not very impressed by the food or service. We asked for a refill and they forgot. The server only came to our table 3x. It took 1 hour to make 2 burgers and a French dip. French dips are supposed to come with swiss cheese. Mine didn't. When I mentioned it to the server, he took the French dip and had the cook put Swiss cheese on it. It came back with 3 slices of processed Swiss cheese...on top of the bread. Then when we ordered drinks they were out of tea. And root beer and Dr pepper were in cans. Food was great they do a very good job of cooking, as for service tonight was the fourth time we have ate here and three of the four times the service has been less then fair, the waitress we had took 25 minutes to bring menus then another 20 to bring drinks, we ended up asking the other waitress that was very good at her job to get us refills and she brought us crackers for the kids who were starving waiting for our food, we waited over an hour to get food, there was 7 tables of people there and our waitress had three of them no excuse for the wait! We had just finished the day from tubing on the Iowa River at Rock and Row Adventures. We needed some real good home cooked feel food and they definitely delivered. The staff was amazing and i have to be honest one of the best tasting ribeyes i can remember having in some time. We've been out in California for a few years now and this was exactly the feel i needed coming back home to Iowa. We will definitely return as they handled our party of 9 easily and even had a 13 come in 20 minutes after it's and were accommodating as anything! Great job...
