Smaller sites at this campground and you won’t find sewer hookup. There is a dump station on your way out. We were in White Oak 6 which i do not recommend! Its a terrible site, but the gentleman that hosts this area was aware how awful that site is and found a decent replacement for our 3 night stay. The washrooms/showers are clean, there is no camp store that i could find. And there is no trash bins around the sites only the huge dumpster bins on the way out which i found odd. There is a beach about 2km down a very steep road (luckily i had an ebike to help me get back up that long steep road!) or else you are driving down. Pictures are from the road going to...

Lake Vesuvius is a perfect place to kayak. It's small enough to where the whole lake can be explored in a single outing, the entire lake is a no-wake zone, and there is a beach to kayak to (with tables, so it is a perfect place to stop for a picnic). There's also a large rock in the lake that you can boat up to and jump off of if that's something you like to do. Ideal family adventure, even with little ones.

We rented tandem kayaks from a business that is on-site, right by the boat ramp called Kountry Kayaks. They were great, and the kayaks were clean and comfortable. I...

Been going out since a youg kid and taking my kid since he was a kid! We love it the fishing pretty good always, love when OH DNR stocks trout its a blast for about two weeks usally limit out on trout every visit after stocking. Overall great family atmosphere and good place to hike and get your kids in touch with the outdoors and out from in front of their games and TV so they can see more to life!! Highly recommend you enjoy the resource its very nice and well kept. You can also rent kayaks if you like boating and...

This is a five star camp ground if you are in the correct loop - Oak Hill has nice sites, and lots of shade under the trees. Having both electric and water was very nice, though the dump station only handles one rig at a time. Only real complaint was that the grill in the fire ring could not be swung out of the way, it was always covering half the fire. Good amount of activities, with a decent beach area and hiking / biking trails - BUT be prepared for lots of hills, as all the sites are built on top of ridges.
