Best Southern Motel — Hotel in Erwin

This is an older motel. Very tired and run down! Must of the occupants are long term 'renters' (see: homeless of Erwin that need a cheap place to stay). Now these folks are pretty quiet for the most part (other than the rather interesting chain smoker that calls to other rooms regularly looking for a ride to get cigarettes... Sigh. Just don't answer the phone). The rooms are very dingy and only superficially clean. Heaters/AC barely work but the staff will shift one from another room if yours absolutely doesn't work -_-. The showers...oh my goodness... water temperature and pressure are dependent on what anyone else in the motel is doing. So prepare yourself for dodging ice water/scalding water! If you have a top floor room, you will smell whatever the people below you are cooking, smoking, etc. The cheap nasty cigarette smell of the people below me may haunt me forever! The staff is very helpful but they obviously have no money at all to put back into the place (which is a shame because I'm sure they'd change it if they could). Price wise, eh, it's OK for the area. If you ask me everything in this town is overpriced. We were here short term for business and are thrilled to know we never have...

I will stay here on every trip i make to Erwin, Tn. . This Hotel has really great service...they even go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied, they went and rewired part of their Motel just to insure that I am able to use the Internet that comes with your stay here....They are located right beside of a store that makes great home cooking meals and right up the road...walking distance is a grocery store and a dollar store...now how much better can this place get? I give this Motel a 5 rating not just because of the service and location to everything but for the cleanliness,privacy and quietness....Thank you BEST...

The room was run down, smelled musty, ceiling had tears hanging down, the price is ok if you want run down. The bed was hard as chinese arithmetic "you can actually feel the springs". The rooms are no smoking, but that doesn't stop anyone, the ventilation in the bathrooms are all connected, so if one person smokes everyone will smell it, I had my door open all the time. No pride of ownership at all...I paid for a week which was the worst week...
