Arrived. Stayed. Saturday morning checked out, no problem. Returned to room 107 (down-stairs) and still had things in room that needed to be moved to the vehicle. Wife was already in said vehicle and when I returned to 107 and found it locked. Upon asking at front desk if magnetic card was still operably lady said yes — but gave me new key “just in case”. After three (3) trips to front desk getting “new keys”, with zero opening of the locked door, lady came down to attempt opening with another type of key. Still no luck. Another lady came; they conversed in foreign language but still no opening. Then another came with hammer & bar and proceeded to bang on lock — finally getting said 107 open. I entered, gathered wife’s jewelry on night-stand BUT forgot the bed clothes there (night shirt & short pants) and the electric night-light (electric plug-in nite lite) I use in motel rooms.
The forgotten items above were not discovered until returned home and night time (same night, July 13th). Early the next morn (July 14th) I called the Choice Privileges number to report forgetting the items and the gentleman there said he’d call the Eufaula (AL) motel (334 687-0166) and report all. Once back on the phone he said he’d left a message and to expect a call from the manager the following day - which was Monday, July 15th. Nothing ever came; not from Eufaula, not from Choice Privileges. NOW WHO DO YA THINK I’M GONNA WANTA STAY WITH THE...
Read moreWe were there for the BFL Fishing Tournament at Lakepoint State Park and this was the closest hotel (6 miles). Our first ever visit to Eufaula. Glad they had plug outlets for charging boats. I was pleased that the rooms offered a King bed(very comfortable beds)and a Double bed, but disappointed they were on the 2nd floor as my husband has trouble climbing stairs. The rooms on ground floor were all doubles. We can't fit in a double bed and with three people...we needed a Queen or King and bed for son (could have been a double for him). Housekeeping people need a lot of work in how to clean a room (looking between bed and night stands for stuff left behind) and what to look for (I will leave it at that since the front desk knows what all was wrong..nit picky little stuff). The 2 girls that worked the second shift were awesome....very friendly and treated you like they had known you all their lives. Don't expect a full breakfast as they only have the minimum required by Choice Hotels (waffles, cereal and bagels) but still not bad. I would definitely stay there again....even with the little things that were wrong with room....nothing that would have made me move to another room. AC works wonders....very cold. No...
