My wife and I stayed here in the Chalot for a weekend getaway. It is as secluded as you can get but still close to everything. It is in the middle of the woods and very quiet. The cabin inside was beautiful and very well stocked for everything you could need. Had both a hot tub and Jacuzzi tub and both worked amazing. About a 10 minutes drive in to town which is also very nice. The price is a little high but well worth it for the amenities they offer as well as the nice seclusion they give. They currently don't have WiFi, but we used our hotspot on the TVs with great service, and they have cable in the lodge for you as well. We will definitely stay in this cabin again for our next visit!

This place is so easy to find, the driveway is right on hwy 62. There was no noticeable traffic noise and was practically perfect in every way. Good cell signal, but no wifi. The TV had cable and other streaming options. The fireplace was too smoky, but the owner is looking into it. I would definitely stay here again!

This cabin is just what we needed. It was a perfect place to spend our anniversary. All the little details have not gone unnoticed. The cabin is beautiful , screen porch is so relaxing and the sunrise was stunning. We have really enjoyed this cabin in the woods.🤔🤗🥰

Cabin: The Chalet Dates: 11/02-11/06/2023 Pet: 2.5 yo Black Lab

What a wonderful, secluded cabin (this is a rural area - there is NO wifi but we had good cell service). The Chalet is a 1 BR (King)/1 BA with a large (for two) jetted tub in the bath as well as hot tub for two on the covered, screened in porch. The cabin is close-in to Hwy 62 so you do get some road noise but it is very secluded as you turn off, drive down a dirt road a small distance then turn into the private drive to your cabin in the woods.

You are greeted with a small cabin nestled in the woods with a large front porch that wraps around the northside to the screen in porch. You will find several benches and a front porch swing to allow you to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The screen in porch is accessible from the wrap around deck and has a pretty good view looking east toward Lake Leatherwood (not a lake view). Beautiful sunsets. The screened in porch has a hot tub for two, a wrought iron table and four chairs to enjoy your morning coffee and evening drinks. There is a small grill just outside of the screened in area for outdoor cooking.

Inside you will find all the amenities you need - sofa, chair with ottoman, huge TV (in the LR and BR), small kitchen table, eat-at bar and full kitchen with cookware and utensils. The coffee maker is a 12-cup pot, not a Keurig. There is a lovely fireplace and BMLC will provide 1 bundle of wood (if you want/need more you can purchase at any convenience store around ES). The bathroom has a great tub but the shower is average, just a corner unit but it servers is purpose. The King bed was very firm which I typically don't like but really slept well on this one.

The surrounding area is open & wooded. The cabin is on a slope so other than the parking area there isn't much 'flat' land.

Our Lab, Murphy, enjoyed his stay as well - he was able to be off leash and wonder a bit. Sniffing out a rabbit or two. Much better than having to be on-leash at a hotel. And he LOVED his 'sniper perch' on the back porch - keeping an eye for deer. The owners do ask that the pets stay off the furniture and that they are not left alone in the cabins unless crated.

The cabin is away from the other cabins at BMLC so it is very private. Some road noise from 62 but you can't see the traffic. Overall the Chalet cabin is very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend, especially if you "bring Fido"...
