For the price we paid ($150 per night after taxes) we are disappointed. We have camped anywhere from wilderness to glamping. Difference in amenities should be a difference in price. We didn't know what to expect but knew we were paying a high price. I was expecting much more. Toilets are porta potties that haven't been emptied in weeks. No electricity to the tents. I thought the setting would be beautiful which it was except our tent was about 50" from a busy road. I thought the people running it would have something set up to promote socializing among the guests. Nothing. No camp fire which isn't necessarily their fault because there are fire bans but they should do something. They could provide coffee and hot tea and a nice place to hangout or something. You pay hotel prices but the inside of the tent is so hot during the day that it is unusable as a resting place during the day where in a hotel you have that option. The place could be cool but price is too high and it's missing a lot. This place won't last long. All things considered price should be around $40/night. But even with that the porta potties HAVE to be maintained. Empty daily if...
Read moreI booked through Expedia choosing the option to not be charged until checkin. I went to the campground several days before my reservation because I wanted to see what it was like before I stayed there. I was told by the person in charge - very rudely - that he would not show me a tent. "We don't do tours," he said. I didn't want a tour, I wanted to see what I'd be getting for $135 a night. There was nothing "glamping" about the place. It is a tent city with portapotties and showers in a trailer. I cancelled that very day - September 11 - three days before the deadline. I then discovered I'd been charged the day I made the reservation. As I tried to reach them via telephone there was no answer, it just rings and rings. This is disgusting. They are deceptive in their website, the place looks nothing like the photos posted there. Expedia is trying to get my refund but not getting through since no one answers the phone. I hope they will be able to get me my refund and am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed...
Read moreThe advertising is very misleading including the pictures. The tent camp reminded me of a refugee camp. There was not a tree in sight and a main highway was less than 50 yards away so there was traffic noise all night. The only bathroom facilities were porta potties that were in serious need of emptying and to top things off the showers ( only running water in the camp) were out of order when we got up in the morning and nobody around to talk to about the problem. There was no glam in this tent camp, by 8:00 in the morning the temperature in the tent was already 10 to 15 degrees hotter than the comfortable 65 degree outside air temperature. This is not glamping it is a tent to sleep in with a bed and clean sheets and that is how it should...
