Best bathrooms I've seen so far. Plenty of benches and sites to hike too. This is a bikers dream. I will tell you my secret spot but please keep it clean and nice. When you make it to the summer home of President sign in white marble...Go right at the marble sign and go down around the foundation in rubble. I remember a little trail that goes around the right side of the last wall/foundation as seen in picture 1. About 10 yards further down there will be a ledge with some rocks that makes a good lookout place....but.....if you look to the left about 20 feet before that there will be a ledge on the side of the mountain that has these rock couches on the side of the ledge. This is the best spot to sit and take in the veiws by far. I hike a lot and have done many trails and Mt. Falcon is not the best technical hardcore trail at all...but this secret place I found is the best I've ever seen. You are literally sitting on a rock couch with your legs dangling off the side. It's so beautiful I...

The castle trail is a steep point to point trail that is heavily trafficked by both hikers and mountain bikers. With great views of the Denver metro area and out to the plains, combined with its close proximity to Denver it's no surprise that this is a very popular trail. A majority of the trail is exposed with little tree cover so the use of sunscreen and a hat is advised. The trail is commonly hiked from the East parking lot heading west bound to the castle ruins at the summit. This is particularly true of mountain bikers. Once you reach the upper park loop there are several other shorter hikes available that could easily be combined to turn this hike into a day...

Such a great trail so close to civilization, easy to swing through on a whim! That being said, many would probably agree because it gets pretty busy. Keep an eye out for descending bikes, popular mountain bike trail, although the Turkey Trot portion is provided to the two wheels. I find a trail more enjoyable when there is a goal; the ruins at the top are pretty cool! Great views of the mountains...

Wow this place is gorgeous! Beware the trails are longer than they seem. The 1.7 mile part of the hike was like 3 lol. We loved the scenary and the unique foliage! Not very difficult and we managed it with a baby on our back and in a mommy sack!

Great hike close to Denver. Path gets a little narrow and it you have 2 dogs it can get a little tough when passing people (especially if you have a dog that is a "free spirit" like I do - the black dog in the photo is a monster).

Great vistas throughout the couple of trails. Parking lot gets full pretty fast gets lighter around lunch and the heavy again right after. Trails are usually pretty muddy in spots. But wide trails for hiking with a partner.
