I do not write reviews unless absolutely necessary. Upon checking in and inspecting the room, my family was disgusted and disappointed to see stained floors, dirty bed sheets (stains and hairs), unvacuumed floors, and rodent droppings throughout the accomodation. The room advertised did not meet the description at all and it looked like someone was living in the room with no effort to clean it or make the room liveable. My family and I feared for our health and safety and politely asked the receptionist (Janet) that we would like to request a refund as we will not be staying somewhere where our health and safety is in jeopardy. I would not recommend anyone fall for the same trap as my family. If you are looking for close accomodation to sequoia this is not the place.

The only good thing about this place is that it's quite close the the Sequoia National Park entrance. The room is dirty, and the chairs are like they picked them up at the trash where people threw away their old stuff. The shower is so dirty and filthy like it was never cleaned for decade. When we received the room, there were 2 dirty towels in the restroom. There are only 10 rooms, but they can't clean the room properly? It seems like they have only 10 rooms but high demand, so they don't really care. The receptionist didn't look welcoming her guests, and they only work from 3pm to 9pm. Before or after that time frame, good luck to contact them. The deli and store next by is really good with good food and really good services, but it's not owned by this inn.

This place doesn't even deserve a star but I had to pick one to post. I only stayed one out of the 3 nights as they have a no refund policy. The room had no lights in the vanity and the fire alarm was disconnected. The carpets were barely vacuumed, walls had cobwebs with gnats in them and the bathroom had mold in the grout and on the curtain. Please don't let the proximity to the park draw you to this place like it did me! Oh and let's not forget the citation a fire ranger dropped off warning them to clean up the dead grass, garbage and dead tree limbs around the site.

It was very dirty. The bed had big bugs and womens hair still in the sheets and stains and the sheets and mattress. I tried to reach out to them the next day but they didn’t do anything to make it right. They said they didn’t have cash to refund me since I paid cash. They were quick to take my money but not to fix the problems this hotel had. Also they said that I should of told them when I checked in which was late or when I left which was early morning since we went hiking. The front desk staff works 3pm- 9pm… no one was there to contact until later in the day after our hike. How is that fair!? This hotel does not have staff 24/7 like a normal hotel so there was no one to tell which frustrated me. Also don’t try to call them, the number they advertise with is disconnected. So really no way to contact them. It was not worth the price and a very unpleasant experience. I would never stay here again and would never recommend to anyone ever. Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, they use this tourist area to charge high prices and make money but don’t put any of it into making their hotel clean.||||The front desk guy gave me the number of the owner. So I also reached out to him personally and told him about the bug in our bed.. he said the sheets are “usually” changed out. So there was a chance they were used sheets 🤢 so we wanted compensation for how horribly dirty the room was plus the bug. But he accused me of going in side finding this bug and putting the bug in...

First, I'll give a few positives: amenities of in-room coffee, refrig and microwave, which are pretty much the expected standard in modern travel. A/C worked well, both cool & heat.||Problems: They still use "old school" key, rather than card, which would be fine EXCEPT for 1 thing - there is nobody in office except for hours 3-9 PM, so upon departure, you drop key in outside open/unsecured box.. Very dangerous, as anybody could take key, make copy and enter your room whenever to do whatever. And if you arrive after 9 PM (which fortunately I didn't) you have to go about 5 miles back to the Western Holiday Lodge (owners own both) to get a key (they do tell you this via email upfront, but this is not a good business practice). Next, the shower in Room 6 is leaky, very difficult to get the control knob in just the right position to stop it. Next, WiFi very balky & slow, cuts out repeatedly, esp at certain hours (late afternoon and evenings, not so much very early AM). Next, no towels in room, only a wash cloth and bath mat. Office clerk did provide some promptly. Told him I wouldn't require daily cleaning since I had everything I needed except for couple extra coffee packets, which he provided (no problem with him personally, he provided items needed). Was informed that they usually didn't clean daily, which some travelers may not like & makes you wonder about their maintenance overall. Won't stay again unless these...
