I'm being generous with 5 stars but nothing really to complain about and no reason to give less. Great weird little hideaway was perfect for us dudes. Kind of a dirt lot at the end of a road with some picnic benches and fire rings and river access. Winter camping was good. (Bring wood. No firewood on site and it's like 10 bucks a bundle at the gas station.) Made reservations about a month earlier but which spot you get is first come first serve. We couldn't reserve a certain space. Got there Friday at 3pm, Problem was the 4 awesome spots nearest the river were coned off and said "reserved." No one occupied them until Sunday when we were leaving, one lone guy in a van started setting up there. Idk. Lemme know what's the magic word to get the special spots? So we camped along the wall and luckily no one moved in next door so we had space to spread out. So it felt awkward on arrival but felt like home by the end. Pros: Low key, low cost, easy to book, close to river, private local river beach a stone throw away, view of waterfall across the river, close to local shops. Not too far from Giant Tree area and warmer for tent camping than up the mountain. No one bugged us. 4 dudes drinking with some tunes on and RVs with kids were across from us. To me the RVs kinda kill the camp vibe to us tent people but whatever. We had a great time. Only cons: really tight campsites crammed close together, just one portopotty and no spicket or tap water, but that's small potatoes, it was perfect for our getaway. Golf cart guy wasn't the friendliest, but he doesn't have to be, he did his job and we enjoyed it. Will be back.

We had a nice stay with our 19ft travel travel with full hookup. The RV spots are quite tight, not a whole lot of space to enjoy just your campsite. They are also all back in, no pull through. There's a nice little private entrance to the river just for the campers. It looked like there were other nice sites, partial, or no hookup. The group campsites seemed nice too! It's about 4 miles from the entrance to Sequoia National Park but about an hour drive to the General Sherman Tree in Sequoia. Wifi was available but super spotty unless you were right next to the laundry room. Overall, not a lot of complaints. Would be a great place if you're planning to visit the parks and not hang around your campsite much. Also this time of year it was HOT. Triple digits.

This is the best campground in Three Rivers!!! It's our new spot. Its up past riverview and everything very close to sequoias but near a general store and theres a new restaurant starting up across the road. They have hot showers, nice clean and stocked bathrooms. Quick little walk down to the water hole/river where you can fish or swim. It is mucky so bring water shoes or just enjoy it! There are lots of mosquitos so bring citronella candles and bug spray. Overall we had a great time. They have full hooks ups for rvs and shaded and grassy areas for tent camping. Definitely plan your next camping trip here.

The negative review by Morgan Simas is ridiculously inaccurate at best. For the record I am not the owner nor am I employed by the Hideaway. I am, however, the gentleman Ms. Simas was referring to as the owner. I am a close neighbor that helps the owner out whenever necessary. The group Ms Simas arrived with was from Lemoore Naval Base and they appeared to be very respectful at first. Having worked with many fine men and women in this country's Navy, I can tell you first hand that the actions of these few does not reflect the character of the majority. This was a week night so Hideaway's quite time is loosely 10pm. Around midnight, they were cursing so loudly that I could hear them from inside my house. After recieving several complaints from families camping nearby, I took the time to very politely go down to their camp and explain the need for respect of the property and others camping around them. They were all ears and it worked for a little while then right back to loud cursing. By 3am the warnings were not so polite. Normally, they would have been told to leave by now but there was not a sober one among them and they didn't need to be on the mountain roads, drunk, at night. The final straw, after see their campsite a wreckage of empty bottles and cans, was watching two of their group leave the just cleaned bathroom and then being flagged down by the mother of a 3yr old girl who found their used condom and wrapper in the middle of the floor. At this point they were told to leave the campground immediately and the sheriff was called. They became very combative at this point and were going to require some motivation to comply. One of the boys in the group picked up a bottle and began to threaten and swing it at me. While relieving him of his makeshift weapon his two friends thought they would take the opportunity to relieve me of my head, keep in mind that I'm a 40yr old retired contractor. With very minimal lubrication on my part the other boys and girls of their group realized that compliance was not optional and scattered like the vermin they are. The rest of the families camping not only stood witness and offered me assistance, they literally applauded the eviction. The Hideaway was very sorry for the inconvenience and loss of sleep to other campers that they offered another night of camping free to make up for it. The moral of this story is that if you want a drunken debauchery you can probably rent the entire campground for 75,000$ with proper permitting. If you're looking for a clean, fun, family friendly campground with a beautiful, cold, mountain fed swimming hole that's also the perfect jump off to the amazing Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks then come see Dave and Carol at The Hideaway and please lwt them know that Joe...

Poor customer service, very discriminatory, rude and outright hostile.||||This is our second time camping at the HIDEAWAY. Our first visit was a good experience. This last time was awful. Sone have had great experiences at this RV park, ours was significantly discriminated at based on appearance or perceived class. I'm Hispanic and never have I ever experience something like this before by anyone rude and outright hostile and disrespectful. It all started because we have family members stop by and joined us for a couple of hours. We offer to pay a spot even though they were not staying the night. She drove in her golf cart like literally like 5 times asking when they were leaving. We had no loud music, bit being loud just enjoying the out doors. Keep in mind we spoke to the owner/manager and she was ok with it. We offer to pay a night she said"" it's not about the money"". She was telling us indirectly she wanted us to leave. So we'll decide to leave even though we were paid for the weekend. We left stop by the office to let them know we were leaving and we had just turned on the fire common courtesy. The lady was rude my husband asked what was the problem could not give us a answer. We asked her we were willing to pay a night she said no tent camping and due to COVID there were a lot of people in one site. I asked her the. Why does the other camp site has a tent up and they have. More than 10 people i their site she did know what to say. She basically said the the problem was the color of our skin. We thanked her and left. My other family members were behind us all of a sudden a old bald man started yelling and cursing at my sister in law who was behind us. He was telling her we were the issue it's people like us he stated. I just think that it's sad that adults act like children. I always thought my kids that it does not matter what the color of your skin is on the outside we are all the same inside. Something needs to happen this is not right. I will Definitely be...

Though Three Rivers Hideaway is easy to find and has a great location along the river, our experience left us feeling that it doesn't belong on the "must visit again" list. Here’s why:

First, we made a glamping reservation for four hookup sites, with the understanding that they would all be located next to each other. However, when we arrived, our group was split into two, with a large RV in between us. We were told that the RV needed 50-amp service and that it had made its reservation much earlier than ours. But if this was the case, why promise something you can’t deliver? It was frustrating to be split up, especially when we had specifically booked our sites to be together.

Second, the facility advertises a military discount. When the camp host was informed that all four families in our group were military, she seemed visibly agitated and annoyed by the need to process the discounts. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, especially when we were just trying to take advantage of an advertised perk.

Third, while the camp host had initially granted us a late check-out, we were unexpectedly told on the day of our departure that we needed to leave by the standard check-out time. To make matters worse, they turned off our water pressure before we had a chance to fully clean out our gray and black tanks. This was an unnecessary inconvenience and felt disrespectful.

Overall, we didn't mind the small sites or the fact that their cable TV was out of commission. But the poor service and lack of follow-through on promises is simply unacceptable. It’s a shame, because with a bit more attention to customer care, this place could be so...
