I have several complaints regarding my stay, which I tried to resolve with the staff at the hotel, but they were of no help and seemed to not care about my concerns. I contacted the front desk staff several times and they ensured me that the manager would contact me, which he did not throughout my entire stay. The 1st complaint that I have was a horrendous smell of Marijuana from a large group of teenagers who were going from room to room, being loud and slamming doors all hours of the night on the same hallway that the 3 rooms I booked were on. I walked down to speak with the front desk staff asking if she would try to ask them to be quieter and not smoke indoors or if we could move to a room somewhere else in the hotel and she said she would call their rooms and ask them if they were smoking but that there was nothing she could do. The 2nd complaint is with the smoke detectors in 2 of the rooms. In one room the smoke detector was completely off of the wall sitting on the night stand with the battery beside it and in the other room the smoke detector was covered with a trash bag that had a hair tie wrapped around it to secure the trash bag. This is a BIG safety concern and the rooms should NOT have been allowed to have guest in them until they were fixed. I also spoke with the front desk staff concerning this and she said there was nothing she could do because the manager was not there but she would have the manager contact me and out of the entire stay I was never contacted. The 3rd complaint I have is with the cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms were not the cleanest upon our arrival and housekeeping did not come to the rooms to replace towels, etc. throughout our entire stay. For example, there was hair in the beds, the water took an awful long time to get hot and the shower made a terrible squealing sound while the water was running, and there was a half used bottle of the complimentary lotion in one of the rooms. This makes me question how thoroughly the rooms get cleaned between each quest. The 4th complaint is with the doors leading to the exterior of the hotel. The key card entry did not work, so the doors were ZIP-TIED in the UNLOCKED position. This is very unsafe and allows just anyone to walk into the hotel, whether they are a guest or not. The 5th complaint is with fact that the hotel advertises breakfast and a pool which were closed due to COVID-19, which is understandable, but the price was not discounted for this. If any of the other local hotels had enough rooms for 6 people I would have left the same night that I checked in, this is the only reason that I stayed. I was very Unsatisfied with my stay and with the condition of the hotel and the attitude of the hotel staff. I have reached out the hotel several times since I have left still trying to speak to the manager, with no luck. These issues need to be addressed and the staff should be more considerate towards their guest and the safety of the hotel. The statement in the room about guaranteed satisfaction is the complete opposite of the service we received. Reached out to The hotel manger( states he couldn’t do anything because he was new to the hotel)Reached out to Choice 4 times and they want to give me enough points to cover 1 night stay . I had 3 rooms for 3 nights each. Do not stay here please. PLEASE CLICK...
Read moreI cannot with words explain the horrendous experience I had with this hotel and the Choicehotels group. Traveling from Florida and on the road for 13 hr., tired and wanting a nice place to unwind I booked this hotel online with a non refundable policy for the rate I received. Thats fine..I booked from the parking lot of the hotel so of course I wasnt going to cancel.. I go to check in and find out that their " pet friendly" hotel does not include cats! Yes. thats right...pet friendly but no cats allowed. What other pets other than dogs would be classified as pet friendly!!!! Never heard of such a thing. So I left, drove another hour and booked with econo lodge in Pocomoke ( also choice hotels ) where their " pet friendly" hotel included cats! How accommodating!! ( sarcastic)||||I discussed this issue with the manager of the Econo Lodge and she never heard on such a policy. Pet friendly but no cats. How absurd!! !||||To make matters worse I called choice hotels customer service and on hold for the first call for 25 minutes. Hung up because of the time wait. Called again and finally was able to talk to a representative which I explained the situation to and he said hold on while I call the hotel. He comes back to me and says he shows me as checking in but could not verify this as NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE at Quality He suggested I call customer relations as there was nothing he could do.. Whew !!!!! How I kept my cool I dont know. I asked him to wait on line with me while he transferred me so I would not be in another long que wait. Well......again an over 15 minute wait on hold and again hung up in disgust.||||How can a hotel chain operate this way ? I have been in business for over 40 years and have never had such an experience. This is my experience with the Quality Inn and Choice Hotels. If you want the worst possible hotel experience, please give them a try. I promise you wont be...
Read moreThis is a poorly managed hotel. ||Please know that the front desk young lady Jackie at all times was courteous, professional, and sympathetic to our situation. ||We arrived at the hotel, and were assigned room 105. Jackie gave us 105 because we needed a first floor room because my husband just had knee replacement and this particular hotel does not have an elevator.||After we settled in, and took a shower, we pulled back the covers and climbed in, then we saw a urine stain, bright yellow on the bed, then we pulled back the covers and saw many more, and other types of stains. The sheets were filthy.||We went to Jackie at the front desk and she changed us to room 107. Room 107 was satisfactory except the bathroom light didn't work, we kept the bathroom door open and made do. We didn't want to complain any more. Jackie advised us that she would make the hotel manager aware of what happened and he would probably do something for us for our inconvenience and upset. ||In the morning, I went to check out, and Jackie was on the phone talking to the manager. She said to come back in a few minutes. When i came back I found out that the manager Wayne, gave us a miserly $10.50 credit for our inconvenience. I felt like I had been slapped in the face. It let me know right then and there how little he cared for me, the customer. ||I called Choice Rewards and told them what happened. I want you to know how Wayne, the manager handles this type of incident. He did not even have the courtesy to speak to me himself. He made the young front desk clerk do all...
