We had a fantastic time at Fairhope Farms. I couldn’t say enough good things. Frances and her daughter are the sweetest! As soon as we pulled up to our house they came over and greeted us. They gave us a tour of their farm and let us pet the goats and other animals. The house was decorated so well and it had everything we needed. The fridge had fresh eggs from their chickens and she provided us with some of her homemade jam. This is a great place to go to if you want relax and get away from it all. Fairhope made it feel like we never left home. It wasn’t touristy at all, it’s less than an hour away from Gulf Shores. And downtown Fairhope is about 10 minutes away. I couldn’t say a bad thing about this place. There were no cons for my husband and I. We brought out 2.5 year old son who enjoyed it just as much. I came home missing the place and now I want to move to Fairhope haha. It definitely inspired my husband to want to grow some of his own herbs and...
Read moreWhere shall I begin- the sacred one hundred year old oak trees drapped with resurection ferns? The fainting goats? The ducklings? The lush silence of breathing in the pure air? Maybe the actual lodging where I wanted for nothing. Richly designed and decorated for comfort. We baked cookies for a reunion we were attending and everything we needed minus the ingredients were here in the delightfully supplied kitchen. I took my morning medatation and tea beneath the jasmine vines on the patio with the blue jays and kitty-rinsing away the stress of the world. Do visit Fairhope Farm and try the hand made goat soap. Mmmmmmm luxery Regretably I have no photos for I was completely emerged in the present moment of utter peace, and the restoration of serenity. Thank you. Frances, you have created a...
Read moreWhat a wonderful place to stay! 5 stars does not really do it justice. The location is close to downtown fairhope but is quiet and secluded. Frances and family go out of their way to make you feel welcome. She has fresh eggs and jam in the fridge upon arrival. Her farm stay is impeccably clean, by far cleaner than any hotel or B&B I’ve stayed at previously. They let you join in helping them on their farm if you desire or you can enjoy the quiet and admire the animals. I personally loved helping with the baby goats and wish I could have taken one home. If you are planning a trip to the Fairhope area, I would definitely stay here. I’m hoping to return and take all my kids so they can...
