ALDI — Local services in Fairhope

I was first introduced to Aldi‘s many years ago in the Atlanta area. I was so thrilled when Aldi‘s first came to Fairhope! This store has gone drastically downhill within the last year! Associates are rude and there is always a line at the cash register! This afternoon (June 21) I stopped by to pick up a few items, because I didn’t want to go to Publix. In the area that I was shopping, someone had dropped a large glass bottle of olive oil. Needless to say there was glass everywhere and the floor was quite slippery. I went and found an associate and before I could explain the situation, he VERY RUDELY told me he was AWARE of it and he would get to it when he could!! EXCUSE me, but I found his behavioral very inappropriate! A spill (especially one involving glass) should be cleaned up immediately . . . someone, could seriously...

I shop at Aldi's on HY 181 and HY 48 in Fairhope. We spend about $500 a month there. I need the electric cart because I'm 84 years old and have trouble walking. In the past couple months the cart is not been plugged in and is dead. I have to go back home. I've told management 3 times about the problem and it has not been resolved. I will have to stop shopping there if this continues as I can not shop without the cart. This problem only started 2 months ago. Before that, it never happen that it was not plugged in. I even took the cart once and it died after a few minutes and I told the staff. They come out and took it back to it's resting place and the staff did not plug it in. The manager on duty was extremely rude and refused to sell us a $3 bottle of wine because we just turned 21 and have not gotten our licenses changed to horizontal. Claiming it was the law but as long time servers and bartenders and with our family owning local restaurants and bars, that is not the ABC law and when we tried to ask if it was company policy (because we have not had that happen before at other Aldi’s) she just kept saying you’re denied and walking away from us repeating we are denied. Almost woke up our baby. Definitely disappointed in this company. Per the law it is illegal to deny the valid ID even if it is not...
