I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. First off, we stayed for 5 days. They have a small sign on the side of the spaces where they keep keys in the lobby that says refunds are only issued within the first 10 minutes of arrival. That should have been my first clue this was going to go badly. I didnt even notice it until about day three. Of the five days we spent, only 3 of those days did someone clean the room. The rest of the days we came in to it being exactly how we left it. Considering we were paying for a room, it should have been cleaned. Aside from that, there were many other issues:: 1-i seen a roach in the bathroom. I dont do bugs. 2-there is no smoke detector in this room. The wall mount is there, the detector is not. (Pic attached) 3- there is a giant hole in the floor right at the door (pic attached) 4- there is mold in the bathroom on the wall by the tub (pic attached) 5-room gave the distinct air of obvious neglect as even the hairdryer is missing but the base for it still hangs. 6-there is no lock on the window, it can be opened either way. This is a ground-level room.(pic attached) 7-tv has about 5 channels. 8- there is a hole in the wall that was patched but that was the extent of the fixing of it as the sheetrock plaster is still on the wall plain as day, has not been painted or papered (pic attached) 9-none of the outlets in the room are actually attached to the wall. 10- the carpet is threadbare in many places, looks as though it hasnt been changed in years. I would not recommend going barefoot as it is also very dirty. 11-There is also an obvious hole in the floor under the carpet between the two beds, as the floor is very weak in that area and you can feel the divot. 12-sheets have multiple cigarette burn holes in them (pics attached)| Also if you book a room towards the back of the hotel, you will NOT have wifi. I didnt know this, i seen papers with the password in the drawers but could not find the network. I inquired at the front desk and was told the wifi only reaches the first couple rooms, as the only wifi available is that in the office itself. This hotel is HORRIBLE. Also we didn't have a microwave or fridge in the room, i assume none of the other rooms had them either. They are also located in the lobby with the office. The ice machine is outside in the middle-way, and there is a fridge out there too strangely enough. I don't think it works though. The lobby gives a totally different air, as it has been freshly repainted obviously recently. Im not sure how its ratings are not in the negatives yet. We will NEVER stay here again and id advise everyone else to steer clear as well. The only pros:: the a/c worked great and the double bed room was huge. The girl at the front desk was nice, she was always pleasant to deal with, even when i had to tell her the issues because the owner was nowhere to be found. Also I have tried multiple times to contact this man, he has not returned my calls and will not...
Read moreHORROR movie hotel experience!!! POOP stains and other random stains on BOTH towels. This place is run by people who don’t know about health codes and cleanliness. A thick layer of dust combined with hair was on every surface so I couldn’t place my items ANYWHERE. There was no table to put items on in main area or coat hooks, and our “non-smoking” room smelled like old cigarettes and cats. The maids were heard raucously cackling and cursing as they cleaned each room ..walls were so thin you heard details. No table to eat on. The chairs had stains and were so darkened with grime I was afraid to sit on them. I was also wary of the very dark colored bedspreads as I assume they are probly not ever cleaned. We rented a room one night from a very condescending man at the front desk fully decked out in camouflage gear. Every normal question I asked about the room, he acted as if he was angry I’d asked. He had us pay for a room with WiFi and then informed us as I asked for the password that our room was too far from the router to receive WiFi. No apology, no refund. Police squad cars were always parked directly across st facing building 24/7 waiting for the next crime/incident it seemed. We asked for a later checkout once and were denied. Half of the heater didn’t work so we were cold all night. The floors were covered in huge burns. The room was the size of a prison cell. Everything was old and falling apart, and after looking it over I reached a discovery. The sheets looked used. When I went to take a shower I realized..it was going to be a sprinkle instead as the water pressure was so low. The shower was clogged as a final blow. We were stuck in this town at this hotel for a few days. The toilet paper needed to be replaced as soon as we got there instead of finding a full roll ready to go. Cockroaches crawling everywhere..beware of bringing home a cockroach infestation! There was an African man who worked there as a maid who didn’t respond when you asked him a question or made a request he just walked off or looked at you with wide crazy eyes like you’d made an offense. He seemed to be on stimulants possibly meth. There were men outside offering my fiancé about where they might find drugs. The parking lot had HUGE pothole lakes filled with black water that nearly damaged my car when driving in.. It was scary like a horror movie where your torture takes place in a hotel room. Overall a very ghetto experience..this place should be shut down by the...
Read moreOk from the road and the name Fairview Inn, it looks like you are getting first rate & it's very appealing. Upon entering you see tables and chairs for free breakfast advertised. There was no restroom (toilet, john, head or comfort station). The receptionist however was not that good. Very apologetic, seriously very apologetic. But could have gotten me killed. Gave me a key to a rented room that someone was in. Thank goodness the card failed to work. As I was returning to reception she met me again with apologies.|She called someone, who came and helped her get me a working room card. Upon entering the room, I realized this is not, nor will not be a $49.00 hotel for quite some time. I checked Google map reviews and decided to check my room closer. |The light switch covers have wrong ones in place, carpet is filthy, my socks were black from walking on carpet(threw them away). I don't know if it was cat, dog feces, dried lumpy leaves or what against the wall. The sheets looked and smelled clean but had terrible stains. The towels were the same way (Heavy stains you throw away). I'm lucky to have had my sleeping bag with me. I checked the bed for bedbugs, saw no evidence of them. |The heat worked great, the temperature was very cold, the hot water was outstanding and plentiful.|There was a table but no chair, no radio or alarm to get up by. |And no Wi-Fi in the room. It's the 21st century, Wi-Fi is mandatory. I had a 6:30 A.M. meeting & returned at 7:40 A.M., NO coffee or breakfast items present. Glad I ate at Denny's. Must not be a decent breakfast they offer.|I have stayed on 7 continents, visited 42 countries and slept in $2.00 a night and $100.00 a night rooms. They is OVERPRICED & NEEDS MAJOR RENOVATION to get there.|Management needs to work on fixing, painting, replacing all items one room at a time and get outstanding ratings versus putting ribbons on a pig, by patching up all, renting and getting crappy ratings. Or chose to charge $20.00 a night and people get what they pay for.|Parking lot needs a lot...
