Hawn State Park Campground — Hotel in Farmington

Quiet and clean campground, and easy to find. It's very important to reserve a spot online, as this is a popular park (I went in August). The online reservation system is easy to navigate. The spot I picked online was back in the corner and quiet, but there are sites with grass a couple spots over. Loved the trails, especially by the creek. Very important, tennis shoes, sandals, or flip flops will not be adequate for these trails. I bought hiking shoes the week before, and I'm thankful I had them. Definitely wear a deep woods off type of insect repellent if you're a favorite snack of mosquitoes or horse flies like I am. Easy to find. Easy check in. Friendly staff at front gate. They sell firewood $5 and such. Campgrounds are all marked well. Each has a picnic table , gate over fire ring so you can cook, pole to hang trash/ light, as well as a large parking enough room to fit two cars with plenty of room. Bathrooms are very clean. Even have a washer and dryer for $1/ each you can use. Playground is very nice and large. Very quiet after prob 10. The trail/ area behind our campsite was beautiful. The campground had a surplus of wild children. They were loud, unaccompanied, and disrespectful. They kept running and riding their bikes through our site…playing hide and seek..by touching our cars, kicked several balls in our direction…at our dog and hit one of our cars.
