I can't say enough nice things about this place. I called them on a Monday to see if they had any rooms left for that weekend. The owner called me back and they were able to accommodate my husband and I along with our 2 little dogs. We have a hard time finding places to stay that are animal friendly but they had no problems with my little guys! We've been to the area many times and visit the party store all summer long but have never stayed there. We were pleasantly surprised! Our room was very clean and had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. We stayed in room 3 which had a loft upstairs with a balcony. Our bed was SO comfortable! It convinced me that I need a new mattress! đ the balcony had a table and chairs with a great hanging hammock/chair. The view was BEAUTIFUL! lawn chairs, all kinds of games available, a private beach, fire pit, BBQ grills... it really was great. We walked across the street for ice cream and were able to get snacks and drinks at the store attached to the motel. It was a great weekend getaway and we can't wait to return. Thank you to Kathy for getting us in on short notice and for letting us check in a little early. Everyone we met that worked there was very friendly and all told me how much they liked my dogs. I felt welcome and didn't feel like I had to keep them hidden away. They were getting things ready for the summer so it's going to get even better! What...
Read moreMy son and I rode in on June 14, 2019 from Houghton Lake by trail on quads and although it was a great ride it rained the entire day. Needless to say by the time we got to Fife Lake we were soaked and exhausted and there was just no way we could ride back at 8PM in the rain. We stopped to have dinner near by and I called the lodge and the gal that answered was very helpful and she said come on down we got a room for you. To my surprise the lodge is lake front with wonderful views of Fife Lake. Our room was very clean and tidy with good pillows, linens, and supplies. The room also had a nook with kitchen table that works out well. There are a couple restaurants with in walking distance and the location is great. My only complaint is that the lodge is right on the main road and you will hear cars driving by through the night if you are a light sleeper. We enjoyed our stay here very much and I am considering bringing the family back up later in the summer for a few days and hopefully enjoy the lake.||||NOTE: There is no fuel in town in Fife Lake with the road construction is going on. The closest fuel around is in South Boardman about 6...
Read moreWe booked our bachelorette trip at the Fife Lake Lodge for Cherry Festival weekend in Traverse City. The lodge was spacious, with two units connected by a porch. The queen bed room was modern and functional with a washer/dryer. The other unit was less updated and more of a cabin feel. The large tv was wonderful for a movie night and the bonfire outside for sâmores. The lodge is not your typical AirBnB that provides items like baggies, storage containers, etc. It is more of a hotel feel and has a party store below all supplies can be purchased from. The air conditioning can be a bit finicky as they have two units, one in the kitchen and one in the king room. The twin room and living room got stuffy so I would recommend bringing fans. If youâre looking for a remote town outside of traverse, this is absolutely a small town feel! A few amount of mom & pop shops, but regarding the festival, I would recommend staying in Traverse. We did run into an issue with ants, so keep the food away from the counters, but the staff was lovely and came to fix the issue the...
