Pittsburgh Pennsylvania's longest living legends (that have only been a band for like two years) Razorblade playing at the Wheeling West Virginia skatepark this past summer! All jokes aside Sam from Razorblade is like a brother to me and you should absolutely check out their music #skateboard #thrashmetal #crustpunk #fyp #punk

Walling in, this hotel is very Modern with its decor. It makes you feel like you are getting your money's worth out of the expensive room. Even the rooms are nice and clean, minus the wear and tear of chipped doors and peeling wallpaper. I realize the in-house restaurant is going to be expensive considering the captive audience and location. However, my salmon was more than seared. It was charred. The Bahama Mama certainly was not what a Bahama Mama should taste like but I was not going to waste the alcohol. The TV was near that you could scan the QR and use your mobile device, but I really did not want Marriott knowing other stuff on my phone. I opted to use the regular remote and somehow got off the channels making it unusable as it kept reminding me to retune it. Needless to say, we did not watch TV. There are several outlets and USB ports for charging and room service. The pool is decent, as is the gym. The breakfast was a grab and go, which was fine. The thing that sent me over the edge was the fact that the dinner for two with my son was already $100 with taxes, $20 less than the room, but at check out, they billed me more taxes on the meal on top of the overpriced meal in the first place. If you want to feel special with the beautiful decor, by all means, stay here, but if you are trying to be more cost conscious, I recommend elsewhere, or gave the luxury of eating meals off site. Also, the shampoo and conditioner, which I appreciated in the bathroom from a company called, "thisworks," ironically did not work. I did not feel clean, but that was on me for trying and not using what I brought.

The hotel was really dated as far as the rooms and over all aesthetic, but we were on the top floor (21st) and the view was worth the stay.

I’m writing this review because I feel that what we experienced needs to be made known to future guests for full disclosure. Let me start by saying that the employees that I encountered at the hotel were great, there is nothing bad to say about that. ||With that being said… I asked for a rollaway bed, when it arrived we realized very quickly how unacceptable it was. See for yourself the included picture. I could have possibly overlooked a stain here or there, but the thing had not even been dusted off. So gross. The real problem was that the mattress was ripped and the insides were showing on the one corner. And that conveniently had been covered only on that corner with a sheet when it was delivered. ||I went to the front desk and spoke to a nice employee who said she’d bring me one herself, which she did, not long after. That was a fairly new mattress and clean, but the rolling cart and the foundation mattress part were old and grungy, like the first one. Since it was late we decided to use only the clean top mattress and just ended up putting it on the floor by itself. Not exactly ideal but we got clean bedding and decided to let it go and not let it ruin our visit.||Jump to the second day I was there and my other family members arrived. We had been given connecting rooms, which was nice. However, upon examination, we found bed bugs in the mattress in that second room! Several of them actually. (I suppose it’s good that they were already dead??) My daughter collected one in a napkin and brought them to the front desk. Again, a very kind employee helped. She took the bedbugs into the back and we never saw them again. (unfortunately we didn’t even think to take pics)|| We got moved to the eleventh floor in rooms across the hall from each other. We did our own bed bugs inspection and didn’t see any bed bugs in the new rooms so we stayed. ||To say the least we are disappointed and grossed out that a rollaway bed was delivered to us in such a disgusting condition. (And that my grandson had to sleep on the floor because of it) And top that off with BED BUGS? Hey, I get it, things happen, but I now see other reports here on TripAdvisor saying there have been problems in the past. ||Marriott did a renovation right? Shouldn’t that include pest control and NEW rollaway mattresses? Marriott you can and should do better! I expect more from this company. I appreciate the employees but we are very unhappy customers. This is...

If you’re looking for CHEAP then this hotel is that, in every sense of the word. Stay here started out bad and never got any better.

Booked a king room direct from their website with the Pride & Joy couples package. The package included breakfast the next morning as well as champagne and strawberries upon arrival. Checked in and went up to our room, walk in and see it’s a room with two double beds instead of the king room I picked, champagne and strawberries nowhere in sight. Go downstairs to tell them there was a mistake with the room type AND missing package items, and the front desk employee barely acknowledges that the hotel made an error. Offered “upgraded” room and said he’d contact room service about the package. They shouldn’t have had to contact anyone about the package! It was supposed to have been ready when we checked in! If anything all they should have had to just move the items to the correct room... but I digress.

Get up to the “upgraded” room and that was a joke, it had the king bed but no discernible differences from the other room save the different bed type (and the water stain on the ceiling). After waiting about an hour, I called down to the front desk to check on the room service, they had no clue what was going on, and we had to wait still for the items that were pre-paid and SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE WHEN WE CHECKED IN.

The night wasn’t great, the walls are very thin and even the end of the hallway was very noisy with doors closing, footsteps in the hallway, and an extra loud heater.

In the morning, the water in the sink and the shower would not work. The pressure was so low it was at a trickle, and when the shower actually started working it was cold water. At checkout when the manager was informed, all she said was, “Well we were sold out last night.” You’re a hotel! It’s not our problem you’re booked. You make the most money when the hotel is sold out! Figure out the water pressure. She was very argumentative and not at all interested in making the experience better.

To compensate for the long wait on the champagne and strawberries, we were offered $50 off of the rate for the night. Got my receipt emailed to me and even that was wrong... What a bad time!

Don’t stay here unless you’re literally just sleeping for a few hours and are also a heavy sleeper. Keep it classy...

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding that was hosted on site in April 2021. I'll spare the details of the room from the review, as they repeatedly say "We're currently undergoing a complete room renovation!" The rooms did not have a microwave, which I honestly cannot remember the last time I stayed in a modern hotel chain without a microwave. I'm including that detail because it's a simple solution: just buy microwaves for the rooms and plug them in. They clearly did the same thing with the miniature fridges that just sit in the middle of the floor. The room's A/C did not work, could not get it to cool the room at all. Talked to the front desk, was told it was because my room was facing the sun side and to try and close my drapes. Meanwhile, the hallway A/C chilling cold, which to me seemed like an attempt at a coping mechanism for an entire floor where A/Cs weren't working. Never got the room cold. Ice machine on our floor wasn't working. Went a floor below, it wasn't working either. Went to the floor above, same thing. Informed the front desk that night, was told they we're "dispatching a mechanic right away." Next day, those three still didn't work. Told the front desk, again. Was given the same response. The ice machines ended up not working for the remainder of our trip. Hotel staff was hit or miss with COVID protocols. Some properly wore a mask, some (involved in the wedding no less) repeatedly had their nose sticking out of the mask, or would pull their mask down to talk. That's the end of the 2 star review for the hotel. The following is just an anecdote and doesn't impact my rating. After the reception the immediate family of the bride and groom spilled over in to the lobby and took up seating with remaining drinks from the reception (which were provided by the hotel). After about 20 minutes the lobby security guard began to give us a hard time about drinking in the lobby. Not that we were too loud, belligerent, visibly intoxicated, or being unruly. Just that we weren't drinking alcohol purchased at the hotel market place, despite the fact that the drinks we were drinking came from the reception hosted at the hotel. If it were any of the reasons above I would understand, or if the hotel bar was actively being tended,...
