Love it here! My family and my friend's family shared a site. There was plenty of room for both of our massive tents (12ppl plus), a dedicated eating area, sitting area, prepping/cooking spot, campfire and we had room for the kids to play hide-n-seek and also setup cornhole. The amenities were AMAZING!

The water tasted great. It was not filled with chlorine and did not have a funny after taste. Even during memorial day weekend, the tank had plenty of water to go around.

You'll notice in the picture the trash was over flowing... it was memorial day weekend and ppl do not know when to stop. If the dumpster is full, don't stack it up. Please, if you bring it in with you, take it out with you. I am sure most of the time the dumpster will not be full so no need to worry. Again, it was memorial day weekend. Every single campsite was full and most had multiple families.

Toiletries were immaculate! I was shocked at how well kept they were. Even for the holiday weekend, there was only once, maybe twice that the TP ran out. We were there 4 days. Don't forget a mini toilet seat for little ones!

Pricing is in the photos: $8 per site for the day $20 per site if your spending the night, there is not a limit of ppl but... There will be an extra $8 charge per vehicle at the site.

You just drive in and pick a site. The Host drives around from time to time and you pay them. They take card. They are in uniform and a clearly labeled vehicle. Once you pay they will fill out a slip (ours was green) and clip it to your site's post, which is a post in the ground a few feet high with your site's number. (Site 1, site 2, etc.) Examples are in the pictures.

Any vehicle without a license plate (non-street legal vehicles) are not allowed. There were many dirt bikes and atvs when we were there though. Most, if not all, were street legal. They do have a track for dirt bikes and atvs though. Ask the Host about it.

Pups are allowed on a leash.

Lake is gorgeous. It has a boat launch. Spectacular views. And they stock the lake so there's fishing to be had!

All sites have a fire pit and a concrete table already in place.

There was a burn ban enacted when we went. Check ahead of time so you'll know to bring a camp stove or not.

Our families LOVED our time there in nature, not a fan of the million goatheads on our site but eh, were shoes.

We were lucky, in our campsite, we had poor service. Turned out great for us to detach from the business of life! There is good service (yes, I mean no dropped phone calls or lost texts) in most campsites though. Worst case, you'll get 5 bars of 5G at the boat launch.

Rough roads mean amazing places! The road as pictured is a long and rocky one with some huge rocks so drive slow if in a regular or low car. It may take 20-30 minutes to get to the lake at a slow pace but the scenery is awesome with many places to stop and look around. We were lucky to stop and see a bald eagle gliding over head. Has great camp fire designated locations with fire pits/bbq with concrete tables. Restrooms, dumpster and water cylinder available on site. Total of roughly 25 locations but there are unlimited locations to camp out prior to arriving at lake. Lake has volcanic rock surrounding entire lake which is pretty cool. All in all this place is the best so far to camp out with dogs or families...

24 miles to Flagstaff, a good camping area close to the lake and great for families. However, there were several downsides: our lot was small with too many big rocks on the ground, and there was almost no flat surface to set up a tent. There was also no quiet time—people watched movies and talked loudly until almost 2 a.m. Although family-friendly, two separate babies were crying during the night, so be prepared for frequent wake-ups. On the positive side, Ranger David was great—kind and helpful. There is water access and the restrooms were clean. Overall, it was okay. I might try another lot like #8, but ours (#20) was awful—I would never...
