My friend is staying here right now. I really do love this campground. It's just so cozy here! Hearing the foghorn blowing in the distance today, was so cool.
Fabulous Camping Place! Almost each spot has quite a bit of privacy. The water & electric worked great. The picnic table was rough but useable. The dump station was free because we camped there & it's only $8.00 to use if you're not camped there. You don't have to pay to use the indoor shower. (My only complaint is that I wish the water was hotter, because I like a really hot shower.) The Ladies bathroom has one of two sinks out of order, so there's only one sink. The camp spots are well groomed & the fire pit worked great, once we dug out a ton of ancient ash. The hosts are delightful & nice, very informative & a pleasure to interact with. There's places to set up a Tent, if you don't have a Trailer or a Motorhome. There was total peace & quiet after 10pm. There's no smoking allowed. There's a cute little Playground area for kiddos & what looked like an outdoor movie screen. There's a covered area for viewing ocean bay sunsets & an uncovered seating area for the same. There's a nice walking path & stairs down to the swimming area, down by the inlet, next to the jetty or you can drive to it & park, as it's just about 1 minute away from camp. There were Seals catching Salmon, Crows cawing for food LOL, Squirrels chattering at you for treats & lots of different Birds singing their songs. Its close enough to the Ocean to hear it at night & have it lull you peacefully to sleep. I will be coming here frequently now that I have been here once & lived it so much. $45 per night for a full hookup spot & $40 per night for a spot with only water & electric. If you reserve online there is an additional one time $10 reservation fee. Thank you Harbor Vista for a great time. All of my photos...
Read moreDon't..I repeat don't use the Park pass app to pay your $5 dayuse fee!!! Worst experience at a day use area ever today!! When I pulled in a little after 11 am the office was closed but I paid by the app like I did last year when I was in the area. Camp host immediately started giving me the 👀 eye when they open the office and silly me thought 🤔 they know I paid or at least just can look up my license plate # and find out🤷♀️ ... Shorty after I come out of the shower the the campground maintenance guy was there as well as camp host and park ranger soon arrived. All hanging out and staring at my little mini Winnie RV. The maintenance guy walked up and stared into my RV through my windshield seeing me getting up front he turned. I opened my door and informed him I had paid using the app . He rudely informed me he needed to see the receipt... his only answer to me telling him I paid already..he repeated said he needed to see the receipt...which was on my son's phone in the shower. 5 people waited for me to show them that receipt!!! 5 people including a park ranger on duty. Not one of them was polite or interacted with me with any respect. When proof was shown I paid, no apology was given...just told if I used the kiosk instead it wouldn't have been a issue and I was given choices on how to pay. When I told him I felt I had been harassed by them stalking my me and RV ...I was informed rudely I wasn't harassed and if I felt that way I should just leave...he repeated this statement...I should just leave then. At one point I looked at the Park Ranger and he was laughing at the interaction. I was shocked at his behavior and not taking the situation under control and politely talking to me Instead of finding humor in...
Read moreAlthough the park is beautiful and sites seem private with plenty of bushes and trees, the campground boarders right up against houses and a neighborhood. Beware of sites that boarder these homes. We were in site A15 and when we pulled into site to set up camp, the home owner started a bonfire with intent to smoke us out, they started shouting and yelling to each other in conversation. The last straw was when they began to run their chainsaw and cut wood next to our campsite no more than 25 feet away to make as much terrible noise as possible. We were looking for quiet, serene and a relaxing camping experience, instead their actions were intended to run us off. We went to the host to seek help in moving us to another site as this park was almost empty due to being off season. The live in park host became indignant and sympathized with the home owner saying they have a right to do yard work and we should have known they were there when we made our reservations, like it was our fault. He grudgingly allowed us to pick another campsite. When we packed up A15 to move we heard the homeowner cheering, clapping and celebrating that they ran us off. Beware of which site...
