Western Motel — Hotel in Folkston

We will never stay here again. The woman proprietor was extremely rude. We made a reservation for two nights in order to attend a field trial just across the state line and chose to drive home 4hours rather than stay the second night after our room had not been cleaned and she tried to claim I told her to stay out of our room. They give you a single tiny bar of soap and packet of shampoo and the towels are thin as paper. She wanted to charge us $50 extra per night if we brought our two dogs in but the room was too small to fit their crates in so I chose to keep them in the car. She then made statements that basically accused me of planning to try and sneak the dogs in telling me they would charge double if they found “evidence “ of the dogs in the room and “we will know cause we have cameras”! I have never had a more rude and unfriendly lack of customer service experience. Avoid...

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HEREMy experience was HORRIBLE!!! I got bit up by BED BUGS and had an allergic reaction to the bug bites! My WHOLE BODY was full of really red really huge extremely itchy bug bites. I initially had no idea that I got bit by the bugs until I went to the ER and they confirmed it. I don't live in folkston and was there for the 4th of July. Management refused to give me a refund. The people staying next to me had complained about bed bugs and was moved to another room to bathe. They told me that they had gotten a refund ! I'm not sure why they refused to give me my money back but was HASTY to take it. I've been calling them for 4 days and they've been hitting me with excuses about the manager not being there. I didn’t stay in this motel and I was a displaced family from Hurricane Helene hitting the town I live in Fargo. The owners were not there so the young man while nice as he could be wasn’t left with any instructions on how to check people in. Which wasn’t his fault. However the price of the rooms for where it’s located are ridiculous now. It would have cost us $97 a night each night to stay for a week and you already know we didn’t have a lot to spend because of the hurricane effecting us. The other motels were closed so this was the only one available. However online you could get it way cheaper but it was saying no rooms were available for the next two weeks.
