Great experience! First of all, I was upgraded from a regular room to a suite at no charge. This was completely unnecessary, but the use of the "dining table" came in incredibly handy for a work project. The room itself was very clean. The hotel isn't new (the room phones give away its age), but it's been recently updated. I appreciated all of the artwork on the walls which made the rooms feel more like home and more upscale. The bathroom was quite large with plenty of storage space on the countertop and below. The bed was quite comfortable. There is ample lighting throughout the suite- both overhead and lamps. There are convenient outlet/charging ports on most of the furniture, including both sides of the headboard. I'm an extremely light sleeper, so I brought a small white noise machine from home. I've stayed at many of the hotels in the area for work trips and found as they are all built alongside I-41 there tends to be a lot of highway noise. (YouTube has a lot of videos with rain or waves for white noise if you find yourself up at night). I didn't hear any noise from other guests, which was wonderful. The staff were all very nice, polite, and professional. The gym is small but has 2 treadmills and an elliptical. The pool and hot tub look very tempting. I wish the breakfast had fresh fruit options and grab and go yogurt, but it's your average continent breakfast: 2 waffle makers, mini omelets, sausage, fruit cocktail, pastries, breads, oatmeal, dry cereal, and milk. There is a nice selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juice. There is also coffee, tea, chocolate chip cookies, and apples across from the check-in desk. I also wish the mini-fridges were a little bigger. I travel with some quick meals and could have used a little more room. I had to read apart my 10" pizza box in order to store leftovers. However the furniture the fridge and microwave are stored in are nicely situated. I appreciated that the mini coffee maker was stored on top. It was a lot more convenient to access than other hotels. Bottom line: this will be a solid go-to next time I'm in Fond du Lac. The price was great and I truly appreciate the cleanliness...
Read moreThey advertised a King Suite with Jetted Tub.. Suite itself was fairly nice but the jetted tub did not work. Hotel staff that night very understanding, polite, cooperative etc...but they were not able to fix the tub. The hotel manager (if there is one?) has been less than useless. i have been trying all week to reach the manager and so has Orbitz customer service, to resolve this matter. However, the inconsiderate "manager" never seems to be there and won't return any calls/messages/email!
I guess i would suggest everyone steer clear of this hotel and not stay there. You could take your chances that everything will be fine, but if it's not you won't get any help resolving the issue! DO YOUR JOB "manager"

Sorry for the disappointment. We checked the jet next morning and found out that there was nothing wrong with them. They were working fine.
update That is a lie! ...or at least quite unbelievable that it magically started working again later the next morning. It did not work at all that night. A staff member of the hotel was in the room and confirmed it was not working. Front desk worker the next morning confirmed that a note about it was in the computer. Funny how the manager made no comment until 2/21 about checking the tub "the next morning" (2/10). Even more strange, since I was told that morning you would not be in the office until the next day (2/11). What really happened here is you tried to ignore the problem, thinking I'd just go away or forget. Then, when you read my first review, you created the story about the tub working just fine, out of spite for the review. That is classless, petty and unprofessional, you should be ashamed of yourself. By the way, I did get a $75 voucher from Orbitz fyi. (I won't be using it...

They had it set up for reservations in 1 hr increments and limited the use to 10 people at a time. Our group was able to use the entire pool by ourselves, which was a relief and it was so much fun. The water was warm and the pool area was clean. Samantha was friendly and super accomodating. During our entire stay in the area, from going to the ski park, and picking up food at nearby restaurants, she was hands-down the nicest person that we had the chance to interact with. It's interesting how meaningful a genuine smile, eye contact, and friendly conversation can be. It's simple, but still not easy to come by.
We had the room with the connecting door in-between for our family of six, and our friends had the family suite that had a side room. They were perfect for our needs. The only minor issues were one of our rooms still had food left in the fridge from the last person who stayed there, and the coffee machine wasn't cleaned out either (had old coffee left in the top). Not a big deal though. The associate who was making breakfast, seemed annoyed with us because we had a big group. But breakfast was good nevertheless. If I were to make a suggestion, have the menu of what is available posted on the door, so people know what to order when its their turn to order.
Next time we need to stay at a hotel, I will definitely look to see if there is a Country Inn and Suites in the area first. It seems like they have a good setup, and a good value...
