I would not recommend staying at the Elemental Resort. The private cabin I rented was apparently double booked and rented to someone else. Prior to arrival we were convinced that our alternate arrangements would be comparable to what we paid for. We decided to try to make the best of it as there was no other rentals available in the area at this point. To say the experience was a nightmare is an understatement! Our accommodations ended up being an apartment upstairs from the owners living quarters. The place was smelly, filthy and extremely unsettling. There were broken doors with holes punched through, broken blinds, windows stuck open, an unfinished porch, a broken toliet, a broken unuseable shower, filthy table and countertops, cat feces and/or puke, leaky plumbing in the kitchen, suspected mold and one used dirty dish rag available. The cat found in our space, the bellowing one on the other side of the door, the constant scratching and meowing throughout the night and the owners late night shenanigans when home made it impossible to get any rest. We played music and wore earplugs in hopes of getting any rest. All attempts at obtaining any sort of refund, even the cleaning fee, were denied. All concerns during our stay were blown off and met with excuses. I was offered another stay during the off season to "make it up to me". I can't imagine under what circumstance I would ever want to return to this property much less stay there! After receiving my complaints, George told me he never wanted us to stay up there, which to me is admitting that it was not fit for inhabitance! I am still appalled that this 1 bedroom apartment with a bonus rollaway bed was passed off as a rental space and charged for as the same price as the 2 bedroom private cabin that I paid for! Such a joke! Not to mention my credit card was overcharged from the original quoted price. When this was brought up at check in to George my complaint was completely dismissed and he insisted the charge was accurate. The fact that we actually tried to make the best of it and stayed somewhere with such horrendous accommodations still amazes me. *Be prepared for harassment from the owner as he sends vulgar texts messages full of insults to his customers in attempt to...
Read moreWe stayed the first week of July 2023. The cabin itself is fine..fairly clean, cozy and accommodating with full service kitchen and bathroom. The location is central and made for a great starting point for day trips. The lake is gorgeous to view and the dock is nice for sitting. However, there are many negatives about this property—the row boats on shore were banged up and full of water, with only one boat actually useable. The fire pits at each cabin were lackluster and positioned oddly in the cabin’s yard. Each cabin has their own picnic table, but some had missing benches and were not useable. Our cabin was missing the front screen door and the back screen door was in shambles. The pillow cases on each bed in our cabin had fresh stains and were obviously dirty…bed sheets/blankets seemed clean though. The owner lives on property and likes to scream vulgar obscenities to his girlfriend/wife without any regard for his guests hearing it all, so that was very discouraging. The hot tub was absolutely disgusting, and I can’t believe they advertise it as useable. Although this property is appealing on paper, we won’t...

All have AC and new queen size mattresses. (Can't speak to the twins as didn't check). The kitchen area is very small, but we managed nice dinners between the range and outdoor grill they provide each cabin. Every evening we used our fire pit and gazed at the stars. If you are looking for a high end cabin experience they are not for you, but they were perfect for sleeping, eating, bathing and excursions to Marquette and Munising. George's home is on the property and if you need something he is there in a flash. BTW...it's deep in the woods and quite. Great spot for fall color seekers, hunters and for snowmobilers the parking lot is large enough for multiple trailers and vehicles (and no backing up to get...
