After reading the number of low reviews and that there were similar threads, I felt that I had to add my voice, mostly to warn others because it appears that management has heard these complaints and refused to do anything to correct the problems.

The place is owned by the owners of Flora Springs Winery. Surely they have the money to make the needed improvements that this place requires. Frankly it wouldn't take much to address the issues.

Spent 4 days there. If I thought we could have left without penalty, I would have moved after the 2nd day. If we had needed to be in Phoenix longer we would have switched to another place.

On arrival needed to call the front desk to see if I could borrow a corkscrew. No phone in the room. Walked to the front desk. Oh, the phone broke during a storm and hasn't been fixed yet. Who fixes a phone? You replace it. But, not here. I did get the $2 corkscrew along with an admonition to return it. the plastic handle broke so I bought another for them; a multi-million dollar winery.

Phone in the room was broken. Had to walk to the front desk. "Oh yeah, that room doesn't have a phone. It broke in a storm and hasn't been fixed." Fixed? How about replacing it?

Table had only one chair. Front desk didn't have another to use. So no restaurants open; and the room doesn't have a table with 2 chairs for both of us to eat at. So we had to use the bathroom handicapped seat for the shower at the table. Really? For a place with 4+ stars. At this price?

Furniture is dated. Not just dated but rag tag. Ripped seems. Really?

Mini countertop fridge. I mean mini. No counter to prepare food. No bar sink. Want water, use the bathroom sink. No glasses. No plates. No utensils. I didn't realize that I would be camping out. Otherwise I would have brought more gear.

Bathroom: Extremely small vanity for two people. Not enough counter space for the two of us. Anemic shower. Very little pressure. Water very slow to warm up.

Mini-trashcans; one in bedroom and one in bathroom. No one cleans the rooms. We needed to take our trash. Later we were told that we could have scheduled maid service.

Other complained about the mattresses and the thin walls. Neither was an issue for us.

On the plus side, the location is very nice and intimate with clusters of units spread out on a hillside. Easy walks to front desk. Feels safe. Upscale part of town with a lovely supermarket a quarter of a mile away and a very nice Asian restaurant there as well. Mostly takeout due to staffing issues. People apparently love the views. We had a room without one, but that really didn't matter to us. It was a first floor room that was more accessible and that was important for us. It was close to the Mayo Clinic. But, for the money, I'd stay elsewhere.

Chose this for the 4+ star reviews. Wish I had drilled down on those because it's not like an average of 4's and 5's. Lots of 4's and 5's, but way too many 1's and 2's. There are similar themes. We didn't have the horrifying experiences other did of "bugs" in the room, scorpions in the room or used condoms left in an ice bucket. Yikes. I stopped reading after those and decided to write my own.

So if those other experiences were 1 star, mine was 2. But, read into it what you want. Looks like a lot of people had good experiences. Either they had low expectations or there is a world of difference between rooms.

And management apparently knows it and hasn't corrected it over the last couple of years or more. And seems that the owners have the capability to do so.

This could easily be a 5 star place. Location and the property are excellent or have...

*Larger person friendly I originally purchased a couple's massage on Groupon but due to some scheduling conflicts I had to change it to a single massage. They were very happy to do this via phone and I was able to use the full groupon to cover this. $18 gratuity fee still required when I arrived. I picked today which was incredibly nice day with clouds breezing in and out in the sky and 62 degrees that was nice and cool. The lobby was easy to find, directions led me straight there. The entire area is removed from busy traffic and noise, everything was peaceful and quiet. The receptionist checked me in and i paid the gratuity there and the massage therapist was there to greet me as well. I was offered water and a hot towel before I even went to the casita.

The casita was a short walk up the lightly inclined parking lot. It was beautiful outside and the casita was amazing. The room was mood lit and incredible smelling, gentle music playing. I was given time to undress and get under the covers. The table was very sturdy and modern, I am a very large person and it is an electric table that cna be raised or lowered, moving the back or leg portion individually. I was very comfortable.

The entire session was lovely, she was very respectful and professional. She asked some questions before starting as well as I have arthritis in my hips. This massage was incredible and I went into quite a comfortable meditating state. I felt very comfortable about my body and someone touching me, which in everyday life I am not.

I will be booking again on a...

Beautiful views amidst the desert surroundings! Views from the property are gorgeous and breathtaking. Rooms are clean and housekeeping quite good. Rooms have gas fireplaces and feel private. Staff friendly and available until 2am. They reopen at 6am but have someone on property for emergencies. While there we saw scorpions, lizards, desert pigs, beautiful birds and a variety of cacti. Coffee available in hotel lobby and general laid back feeling. Go here to rest, to be in the calm, to enjoy the pool, hot tub, spa services or the two person Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Downside information includes remote location. Without a car you'll be ordering pizza from Fountain Hills. Nothing in walking distance. Rooms are a tad dated, but comfortable and clean. Carpet in room had multiple stains from spills long ago. Not pet friendly at all to keep property beautiful and rooms clean. Limited hotel services, including broad limitations for food service especially in the evening. The golf course is rated high and a beautiful site. Several part time employees and few full time so you get good service, not great, at property. Terrible cell service--over 20 calls dropped. Some problems with reservation not showing up on system and others had similar problem as well. Pool is small but serves the purpose of this small resort in a...

While the rooms are nice, they are very dated. I would guess that the rooms were built prior to 1999 because there's a telephone next to the toilet and two more phones in the room. The bed was comfortable. The jacuzzi tub was nice until we turned on the pump for the jets, which was incredibly loud, and we immediately turned it off. The water pipe noise from the shower and toilet in the adjacent room (or room below) was extremely loud, running a steady 70 decibels, which is pretty loud when you are trying to sleep. We walked carefully and very gently, wearing slippers, trying hard not to disturb the people in the room below us. Most people wouldn't walk so carefully so the noise in lower rooms could easily be unbearable. We were looking forward to eating at the Italian restaurant, unfortunately it's closed on Mondays so we didn't get the opportunity. I think the Inn at Eagle Mountain is a nice quiet place to visit during the slow months of summer, during the winter when all the rooms are full, probably not so much.

I requested a handicapped room. Bathroom did NOT have a walk in shower nor tub. The only way to enter the bathtub was to step 21” over the tub. Bathtub entry was 21” off the floor. How is a handicapped person supposed to enter this tub? Hardly a handicapped room. The tv is a tiny 30”. Rediculous for old handicapped people!! Can’t read or clearly see anything on screen. The view is two walls and tree branches with a steep hill. Very dark and unattractive. This room should be for storage not for a rental. I called this to the attention of the front desk. No effort to move us to another first floor room. The gas fireplace was nice however, shut off after 60 minutes. Need to reignite every hour. Glad I’m not here for a month. Hubby would need to go without a shower for a month. I do not recommend and will not return. Oh, we were in room 111. I’m extremely disappointed!
