The management, the staff and the facilities were top notch and we couldn't have asked for anything better. We had booked their lovely estate for a New Year's wedding over the 2019-2020 holiday and had paid in full, but the bride's father developed a critical medical condition that precluded him from traveling the 1,000+ mile distance and from venturing into high altitudes. We asked for a refund and initially they were going to abide by their policies of no refunds which we understood when we signed the contracts. An unfortunate, but totally legal and understandable situation. But after talking and visiting with them about the situation, and much soul searching and prayer on both sides, they decided to refund almost all of our payment which we were then able to use towards another wedding closer to the father's home in Illinois. They kept some of the payment and the deposit, I believe, but the compromise was fair and an honest solution to an uncomfortable and difficult situation. They were very respectful, fair, gracious, and benevolent towards us and always held up the Christian ideal of doing the right thing. I have communicated with them a few times these past few months and consider Abby and her team friends. Even though we were not able to make our wedding happen at Bella Vista, I know without a doubt the level of hospitality and accomodation would have been beyond reproach. They would have been involved and assisted with helping our guests get to and from the airport, bringing in groceries, the catering, a sleigh ride, a private New Year's Eve Party, and the ceremony itself. Just name it and they would have done their best to help us create the perfect wedding miles and miles away from our homes. Those who have run into scheduling/refund problems need to reexamine the contracts they sign and realize that they are legal binding documents. Anytime a situation comes up that protects one of the parties, it is probably to the detriment of the other. That is what happened to us and is what has probably happened to others with the COVID-19 situation. Abby and her team at Bella Vista were able to come up with a solution whereby both parties compromised. It is unreasonable to think that their policy to "hold the date" shouldn't be without ramifications if a party has to cancel - even if it is beyond anyone's responsibility. They are a small family run business and as such, they have to make money to survive, just like all of us do. But unlike all of us, they are willing to work with all of their customers to find an agreeable solution to a situation like the COVID-19 virus problem. I am proud to do business with Bella Vista and value their integrity and Christian values above all else. I look forward to the day when I can truly experience a weekend event at Bella Vista the way it was...
Read moreWe had our wedding at Bella Vista this past September and cannot begin to describe how amazing this venue is. We booked the venue sight unseen and could not be more grateful for having followed our gut instinct on this one. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were greeted by kindness from Ken and Jo, the property managers. Besides being incredibly pleasant and kind, they answered all of our questions and gave us a tour of the amazing property. Bella Vista is the most stunning place I have ever been. The view of the valley takes your breath away. We loved being able to stay on property for our wedding and share the venue with our closest friends and family. It made the wedding weekend feel so much more special and I'd recommend that to anyone I talk to who is planning a wedding. We hosted a huge wedding - 200 people - and the property handled it flawlessly. The tent was set up on the tennis courts, which had many benefits, including the close by & newly renovated bathrooms, a flat surface without grass (for those wearing heels!), and a gorgeous view. Our ceremony was on the grass overlooking the valley and our cocktail our on the deck, so we were able to take advantage of all of the amazing areas of the property. We received rave reviews of the venue from our guests. I am desperate to go back to the Bella Vista and relive our day. I can't wait for a future anniversary or reunion event on the property! In addition to all of the amazing perks of the property, the staff was so easy to work with, down to earth, accommodating, and kind, which was a huge help in the wedding stress. We could not speak higher of the...
Read moreSara and I can‘t thank you enough for hosting our daughter’s wedding at Bella Vista this past Labor Day weekend. A destination for the majority of guests, we are still receiving accolades from many of them, all commenting that it was among one of the most gorgeous settings that they had ever seen.
The wedding party all loved the main house and the guest cottages, all of which were in pristine condition, and very accommodating for the 26 who stayed at the venue. From the fire pit party Friday night, to the rehearsal brunch Saturday afternoon, to the welcome barbecue on Saturday evening, and finally the wedding and reception on Sunday, every aspect of the entire celebration went off without a hitch. Although we added an extra night and stayed through Tuesday, that still didn’t seem like long enough, and many of us were reluctant to leave.
Ryan and Alyssa were responsive to our every wish, ensuring that we were comfortable and well-cared for regardless of the hour. While instantly available when needed, they remained out of sight at all other times. They were invaluable in helping coordinate the efforts of the caterers, the wedding coordinator, the band, the photographers, and the rental company, ensuring that all setup, electrical, structural, parking, and other logistics considerations were met.
Thank you again; we look forward to booking Bella Vista in the future…and hopefully soon! Dave and...
